Why is it that after replacing the speaker and battery, the watch keeps restarting, but only when it is plugged in to the charger?
Apple Watch SE: Unable to verify update

I have an Apple Watch SE (2nd generation) that was exposed to water a long time ago and stopped working. Recently I managed to power it on again, but it is completely reset.

When I try to pair it with my iPhone 13 (iOS 26), I’m forced to update the watch to watchOS 10.x. The update downloads, but when installation starts I always get the error:

“Unable to verify update. The watchOS update could not be verified because you are not connected to the internet.”

I am definitely connected to the internet and have tried Wi-Fi, mobile data, different networks, resets, and manual pairing without success.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Could this be caused by hardware damage (for example Wi-Fi/Bluetooth corrosion from the earlier water exposure), or is there any known workaround?

Apple Watch Series 2: Speaker and Haptics not working

Hello! I replaced my Apple Watch Series 2 battery yesterday and that seems to be working great, however the speaker isn't working. I hadn't used the watch in about 2 years since the battery got really bad, but the sound was definitely working at that point. Could I have inadvertently broken something while replacing the battery?

Everything went smoothly, except right at the end when I was reconnecting the cables, they all connected great, but the middle one wouldn't 'close' properly and I ended up breaking the thin plastic bar at the top that closes it. The other two closed fine, and the middle one was still connected, just not closed. I hope that makes sense!

Everything else seems to work on the watch, it just doesn't make sounds or haptic thumps when I receive notifications. It also doesn't make any sound when I do the water lock, but does do haptics. When I try to adjust the volume in settings, it makes no sound either.

Apple Watch Series 1: Apple Watch Bootloop (Apple Logo for 30sec off and on again)

I want to confirm that the battery degradation is the reason of this bootloop before buying a new battery

<ins>(KEY)</ins>

* Apple watch boot loops showing apple logo for 30seconds and then black screen, and back to apple logo angain. The loop continues

The loop appears on and off the charger

* It boot loops even when detached from charger

I charged it overnight and still boot loops

After boot looping for days (its dead) I assumed the battery run out of juice. I charge it and it shows the charger symbol with green bolt. After 20mins it turns on and boot loops again

<ins>My question is:</ins>

1.) Does a boot loop caused by faulty battery makes a boot loop even off the charger? Or it just doesn’t show anything when off the charger?

<ins>Additional information:</ins>

I left it uncharged for 2 months. Before I left it uncharged, I have a problem where the watch is stuck at “erase all content and settings loop” and I put it in the freezer for 10mins assuming it can fix the problem. After 10mins in the freezer I put it on the charger. The watch started showing apple logo and wont continue to boot. And then i put the watch in the box and trying to forget it assuming its dead. Now I want to use it

Apple Watch SE (Second Generation): Looking for Apple Watch SE 2 display adhesive

Hey everyone! I am looking to purchase new adhesive for my Apple Watch SE 2's display, but noticed there is no adhesive available for this model (though perhaps I'm mistaken).
