Apple Pencil: Transplantation of the Apple Pencil innards possible?

I read the Pencil teardown and understand that the outer plastic and inner metal shell needs to be destroyed. Are the electronic components still working after this procedure? Is the metal shell essential or is it a safety measure in case the battery decides to expand/explode?

Just food for thought: I have a 3d printer and wonder when the battery dies by age and usage if it is possible to either print or misuse a real ergonomic pen casing to transplant the electronic innards and additionally exchange the battery circuit to a swappable 3,7v ±5% AAAA sized battery and maybe add a on-off switch. Not sure if the lightning/bt pairing will be lost once you unpower the logic board, as apple designed the pencil to be permanently on/hibernation.

I know it may not be worth the hassle and newer and better revisions of the pencil will surely appear by the time the internal battery dies, but I am a bored engineer.

Apple Pencil: Apple Pencil 1. gen. suddenly not working

Hi, my 1. gen. Apple Pencil suddenly wont interact with what's on the screen of my iPad (which it has done since I bought it in early 2018).

I don’t think the battery has been depleted, since I’ve been using the pencil daily and the issue occurred suddenly. Instead I suspect it has been damaged from being dropped on the floor, but

a) is there any way of diagnosing what might be the matter? and

b) would there be any point in doing so (meaning: with the tear down in mind; is there any thinkable issue that will be possible to repair?

Apple Pencil connection unstable, not charging.

Can you please tell me if it is possible to fix the 1st generation Apple Pencil?

When I insert the iPad, a notification appears that the charge is very low. Although before that Apple Pencil was charged for an hour. If you connect via Bluetooth, the connection jumps constantly.

Apple Pencil: Pencil at 3% plugged into tablet, shows it’s charging fast, but @3%?

Pencil stopped charging via the cable and adapter, which I had to buy! Tried to charge by plugging it into tablet and it worked fine for awhile. Could be a coincidence, but upgraded to 13.4.1, now pencil says 3% of battery life. When plugged into tablet , it charges extremely fast, but it’s not charging at all. It still says “pencil is at 3%” , so I’m debating buying another one. I tried to unpair the pencil and repair it to my iPad Pro, it didn’t want to pair . I finally got it to pair after restarting the tablet! Still charging super fast , but it’s not actually charging !
