Magic Mouse 2: Why does my mouse stay on when the switch is off?

My Magic Mouse 2 will sometimes stay off even when I've switched it off. It will still move the cursor on my Mac and is obviously still connected to Bluetooth. It doesn't look like ifixit offers a replacement switch. I suppose I'll open it up and clean it, but any advice would be helpful.

Apple Mighty Mouse: Mouse doesn't turn on after a horrible battery leak.

I have a Mighty Mouse. It suffered from a battery leak when it was in the hands of somebody else. I took it and tried to connect it to my Mac, it kept disconnecting and showed the battery percentage of the mouse wrong. Recently I tried to connect it my iPad and it worked.. but I spoke too soon, and the mouse again stopped working after a week. I opened it and saw there was not much a battery acid damage out there. I tried cleaning the negative contact points but it didn't work. I would like my mouse to be working again.

I saw that one of the screws has been totally covered in acid.

Magic Mouse 2: How can I open the Magic Mouse 2 without tearing it apart/ungluing it

I had this question since I was following the MM2 teardown in iFixit and it basically seemed as if you had to destroy the mouse in order to go in and clean it.

To answer my own question (and I just did this and it worked), you can just stick a spudger in the sides and twist to open 4 clips around the edges and then the top pops off just like that.

I went in and cleaned everything with isopropyl alcohol and it seemed to fix my issue of not sensing gestures/phantom gestures.

Video that I followed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SdBNRCZ...

Magic Mouse 2: Can I fix left click being stuck?

Hey there :) My magic mouse two acts as though the left click is being held down. I’ve taken it apart and the actual trigger component still clicks properly. I disconnected the ribbon connecting the top half of the mouse and turned the mouse on - the problem momentarily disappeared, but other strange things happened (probably because the top part of the mouse was missing!).

Any ideas what the issue might be?

Magic Mouse: Magic Mouse not clicking

I’ve had the Mouse since 2014, and only noticed a problem with it last year. I can move the mouse and the cursor follows, I can scroll too. The problem is when clicking or selecting stuff (e.g. searching for something on Google and then selecting the website I want to visit). How can I fix it? I’ve checked the settings of the Mouse, but it all seems fine, and I’ve tried playing around with it, but there has been no difference.

Magic Trackpad 2: Replacement Taptic Engine part for Magic Trackpad 2

My Magic Trackpad 2 recently stopped “clicking.” It still tracks and recognises clicks/taps, but the entire haptic feedback is gone. I’ve tried various software remedies that I found online (deleting plists, resetting PRAM, etc.) but no luck, even on another device. Seems to be a hardware problem, presumably inside the Taptic Engine.

I see it is not impossible to open up the Magic Trackpad 2 and to get at the Taptic Engine. Does anybody know if I can get a replacement part for it anywhere?

BUT after taking my own apart — I am fairly certain it has to do with the “capacitive touch sensors” mentioned in the tear down — is there a way to know what part is damaged just out of curiosity or is it something you would like, need a microscope to see?
