Hi,

I don't know how this happened, but suddenly My Apple EarPods started working strangely.

The sound is coming from the front end instead of main Acoustic outlet..

If anyone knows how to fix it.

Hey guys pleeeeaase help im freaking out here!

As i said the big part in the front of earpiece,mesh or whatever you call it is not working,on both sides L and R.I just have the little mesh on the flat side working and its driving me crazy.The front part that goes into ear just have a very little muffled sound which is so annoying.

please help me there's no apple store in my country and you guys are my only hope.

I bought a packet of Blue tack today and it advertises that I can clean keyboards so I was wondering if you can use blue tack to clean EarPods since you can visibly see ear wax

Update: after trying it out it mostly works. There is some still on the sides but using blue tack has good results for me

The remote on my EarPods (3.5mm jack version) keeps getting triggered with any small movement of any part of the cord, so if I turn my head even slightly my music will start to auto-play and the volume will go way up.

I couldn’t have described my problem anywhere else, as I was getting bizarre results for my searches.
The problem that I am facing is that the small metal piece(The part that goes inside the phone while charging) on the lightning cable broke and I don’t know what to do, I browsed how can I repair the jack or something like that, but the repairing involved some serious precision work(Clipping/precise soldering) and I don’t want to follow that currently, Meanwhile a thought came to my mind, but I’m not sure if it is even going to work or not?
I was thinking that instead of scrapping the plastic out and carry on with the soldering stuff, what I can do is maybe take a lightning charger cable(Official/alternate)… Chop it off and then connect the wires with my Earpods.
I wanted to know if it is going to work? If yes, then will I be able to get all the features intact? Like using Mic, Controlling volume up and down? Don’t lose the quality of music on my Earpods?

My right headphone has stopped working. It doesn't play sound but I think it's some kinde of trouble with the cable because when I bend it right over the remote the sound comes back.

Has someone experienced the same problem and have any good advice?

Hello! I have been using pre-packaged earphones with my iPhone XR for 1.5 years now, and recently they started glitching. After somewhat thorough inspection I concluded, that it is the lightning port (not the hole in the phone, I mean) that is causing trouble. Is there a way for me to replace the port? Maybe cut one from one of the old cables and solder all the wires? Is that even possible/worth trying?

Just recently the inline mic of my apple earpods has stopped working with my iPhone 6s. Other headphones’ inline mics will work, and my earpods’ inline mic works with my computer for web conferencing calls. I checked/cleaned the jack and it’s free of lint. Any idea if there’s a setting that can be corrected or is this just a bizarre anomaly and I need to get new earpods? Thanks!
