Apple AirPort Extreme Model A1354: wan port not detecting internet provider

my airport extreme suddenly stopped working. I can get internet through the ethernet cable direct from provider modem to my computer but not through extreme. I have tried reset and factory reset with no success. The LED indicator on the WAN port indicates it is working but no provider is being detected. If this is a hardware problem does anyone know of a possible repair.

Apple AirPort Extreme Model A1354: WAN port and 1st Ethernet port not working

Lightning hit close to my house and apparently there was a surge through the network that damaged my cable modem, computer ethernet port and a few of the AirPort Extreme network ports. The power for all of the equipment is on a UPS, but not the cable from the outside. As a result the WAN and 1st Ethernet port seem to be dead, but the other two ports work. However, without the WAN port I can not gain connectivity. The wireless portion of the unit seems to work fine. I replaced the cable modem and tried reseting the Airport to no avail. I fear that all is lost! Any ideas? I have not disassembled the unit...yet.

Apple AirPort Extreme Model A1354: Where to source a replacement Wifi Card for A1354?

Good morning!

Thanks for the excellent disassembly guide- very useful to see how these devices tear down before digging in.

One question though- where could I find a replacement wifi card for the Airport Extreme 4th Gen? Mine is working great on the LAN ports, but Wifi has failed- thinking it's a bad card and wanted to try a replacement

Thanks in advance for your assistance

Apple AirPort Extreme Model A1354: Airport not responding at all...

Im having this issue with my Airport Extreme base, and its that it would respond to any soft or hard reset. Both failed.

I know that for a hard reset you need to keep holding the reset button while connecting it to the electricity. But it wont respond to this.

I opened to check if the reset button was broken or anything, but i can see that is firmly soldiered to the main board.

The issue is that when connecting it, the front led will go to green, without blinking or anything, just plain green. I tried while having the ethernet cable connected or disconnected.

My computer wont detect any WiFi coming from the Airport Extreme Base.

PS i dont have any valid warranty on the Airport Extreme Base

Apple AirPort Extreme Model A1354: Trouble getting MacBook connect to AirPort Extreme over WiFi

I can't get my MacBook with OS-X Yosemite to connect with my AirPort Extreme.

Believe it or not my 2009 AirPort Extreme has never been used for a variety of reasons (taking care of elderly parents, cancer/chemo, etc.)

Is it possible to connect these two devices? I thought that I might need to download some upgraded software for the AirPort to begin with.

I read the Pogue Yosemite manual (all of it - meticulously) and followed the directions from the AirPort setup guide to the letter.

The AirPort came with a disc but I can't open it. Is this a hopeless case? I have a new Linksys CM3008 modem. The upgrade to Yosemite was done at an Apple store in April 2017.

It seems to be a Catch-22, Yosemite wont recognize the AirPort and let me upgrade software, but to use the AirPort I think I need upgraded software.

So far I haven't found any useful info from the Apple help pages. I'd be grateful for any help. Thanks!!!
