Aorus X7 v2: Where can I find and buy spare parts for aorus x7?

Hi i have a quastion about spare parts as i have send my aorus x7 to mandit which is the company that covers any aorus under the 2 years warrant provided with machine

Having seed that my aorus had a few issues one which developed by an other flute from the bottom cover popped open even if the screw was still attached that was due to a poor design as the bottom cover had a plastic sheet that the screws go in to and not the bottom cover it self and i presume that the heat from the fan unglued the plastic sheet from the bottom and the corner popped out, now i had it in that state for a while as i need it the machine to work with, and on the move fitting it the carry bag have reaped my backpack and sized my fingers as the bottom cover is Mattel and very thin and sharp .

now my points are that mandit is refusing to fix it as i have been told that they think i have opened the machine and that this situation is not covered by them and replacing the part will cost me 100 uk Pounds!!!! now if i was replacing rams or a fan that could easily cost 100pounds but not for a sheet of metal i much rather find it my self and fit, and to ill be charged an extra 25 pounds just to fit it.

the only thing that am asking is where i can purchase aorus spare parts as i wont give mendit a rusty pound, due to the way i have been treated

ill appreciate any suggestion or help and thanks in advance .

Aorus Laptop: How to fix AORUS 7 Laptop screen

Hi! I’ve had a broken bezel on this laptop for a while, but never bothered to replace it because I can close the screen easily.

Just now, I was adjusting the screen and suddenly it snapped into having these colorful lines. I’ve seen this on broken phone screens before. I have some images of where the damage is, helped by the broken bezel pieces. There appears to be ripped, silver-colored ribbon and another cable farther back. Any resources on new screens or fixing my current screen are greatly appreciated.

Aorus Laptop: REQUEST A MANUAL: Aorus x5 v6

Hi,

This is my first time posting on this forum so please forgive me for violating any community/posting etiquette.

So I want to upgrade the memory inside my Aorus x5 v6 from a dual channel 16GB RAM kit to a quad channel 32GB RAM kit. The only problem is that there are only two RAM slots that are easily accessible from the removable back panel. The other two are hidden away somewhere, most probably under the motherboard.

Could someone who possesses or has access to an Aorus x5 v6 please spend their time to create a guide for this purpose?

Also,

Could you please give the thickness of the aluminium body on top of and below the fan area of the laptop, or better yet, the dimensions of the whole empty chassis? I was thinking of maybe making cuts or cutting away a rectangular piece from on top of or below the laptop fans and other probable places to improve the laptop's thermals and acoustics. Once the laptop is out of warranty of course.

Cheers!

P.S. I would happily tear down my own device and make a guide for it if I could or asked an Aorus technician for a guide. I can't do that; however, since I live in a country where Aorus provides neither its services nor ship its product directly. If I do manage to botch the device up, I would not want to take it to a local repairman to get it fixed. Also, this is one heck of an expensive machine which I want to run for at least 5 years. Its sort of an investment at the beginning of my college by my father and neither I nor my father has the resources to get my laptop repaired from Aorus and pay for its shipping, which will cost upward of at-least half the cost of the laptop.

Aorus Laptop: Today, the screen is dead

Hi, I have an Aorus 15P KD that I bought in 2022, and I gave it to my friend in January 2024. He has been playing on my old laptop for almost a year, he played often. Yesterday it was working perfectly, and the only thing he did was a system update and then shut it down. Today, the screen is dead — it doesn’t respond at all and won’t turn on anymore.

So we don’t know if it’s the cable or the screen, because my friend was always opening and closing the laptop lid.

Aorus X7 v2: Aorus x7 v7 touchpad not work

My Aorus x7 v7 seems like have some hardware issue with the touchpad. Because the touchpad doesn't work, I tried to update the driver and enable the touchpad in system setting, but the touchpad still not work and the device management can not even recognize the touchpad. However, this laptop support one technique that when you click the touchpad after shutdown the laptop, the battery indicator will show current battery level, and this function works fine. This confused me that whether if the touchpad has some kind of hardware issue, does anyone know?

Aorus Laptop: How do I know if my battery or my motherboard connector is broken?

Hello. Today I chose to do a cleaning and thermal paste recovery of my Aorus 15P XD gaming laptop. Everything was fine when I cleaned the fans, however when I was finishing up my thermal paste installation, I had to reconnect the battery to the motherboard. I used ESD safe tweezers to do this task, however, I accidentally touched the pins at the back of the connector and for a split second a saw a spark.

I immediately panicked but pulled myself together while murmuring “I destroyed my laptop” but it booted fine the first time, i even got to experience the performance boost by running a 3d mark test.

But when i tried to run CS2 to play with some friends my laptop crashed and wouldn’t boot at all until I disconnected the battery and reconnected it, that made it boot. However, when I went to shut it down to make sure everything was okay it stopped booting, I click the power button, laptop fans whirr a bit, keyboard lights turn on, and then it shuts down.

I’m letting it cool for the day and not touching it until tomorrow. I’m gonna do a full disassembly and check the back of the motherboard because on the front the motherboard battery connector looks perfectly fine.

What are some tests I can do to find out if my battery needs replacing or if I have to learn how to solder.

Please feel free to ask any questions for context including photos if needed.

Thank you very much.

Aorus Laptop: Aorus 17G cannot charge the battery

Several weeks ago I spilled some tea on my Aorus 17G laptop. I turned it off immediately and tried to remove all moisture as fast as I could. I also removed the bottom plate to let it dry faster and applied the warm air stream with the hair dryer from some distance. As a result, the laptop seemed to work as usual with no signs of failure, until today when I decided to disconnect its power adapter. The laptop turned off immediately and could not boot without the power adapter.

I removed the bottom plate of the laptop, disconnected the battery, and measured the voltage. It was about 12.6 Volts which probably indicates that the battery is discharged close to the minimum. Here's the picture of the battery: its model is GAG-N4A and P/N:541387460014 . The stated voltage is 15.2V which I guess corresponds to the battery pack of 4 li-ion cells.

So, the problem is: the laptop do not charge the battery. Also, the Windows indicator shows the battery status as 100% charged.

My question is: what could be the reason and what could I try to do to fix that problem? My best guess is the battery controller malfunctioned or went into some sort of protection mode.

P.S.: I guess the white and yellow lines in the middle of the battery connector could be SMBus lines. I can try to communicate the battery with Arduino to get more details or even try to reset the controller if it's still alive. I never did anything like that. Did anyone try something like that?

Update:

I was able to take the laptop apart and found the motherboard model printed on its inner side. It is GA-RX7GKD rev: 1.1
