My Kindle worked fine one day and the next am was stuck on the fire screen. Two days later, my Mom's Kindle did the same thing. Both are charged and no matter how many times I press the power and volume buttons; it always returns to the fire screen.

I can hear all the speakers on my Zoom group but they tell me that when I speak, it's breaking up and becomes unintelligible. This has only happened the last few times.

I have replaced the screen with two new screens and both screen work perfectly except for the touch screen element doesn’t work - is there a connection i am missing or a software reset option that can resolve this?

When I turn it on the kids Amazon logo is there loading and that's where it stays. I've tried a restart and turning off and letting it sit for 30mins. But it still is doing the same and she got it 5 days ago.

My son's kindle fire HD 8 was working fine last night. He turned it on this morning and it is now stuck on the fire logo screen. I have tried holding down the power button multiple times for all the seconds recommend. I have tried the power and volume down button and restarting it from there. I have tried leaving it plugged in. I am now at a loss of what to do. Help please. We just got Wi-Fi yesterday and now he can't use it.

I followed your guide to replace the battery on my Kindle Fire HD 8. The "reverse order" wasn't clear but with some research I thought I put everything in the correct place, including the orange strip that attaches to the screen. But the screen will not turn on. The tablet makes noises for notifications, charging and changing the volume, but the screen will not turn on.

Are there any suggestions or more detailed fix it guides that you can give me?

A problem with a very sudden onset! Although it's 2020 now, I have the fire hd 8. The show image option seems non existant..i can't locate it ANYWHERE! I did the factory reset and apparently, eventhough my kindle has a regular backup schedule and shows a recent backup...nothing was actually backed up. So...I lost a lot of content AND it did not bring back my ability to load images. The odd thing is,this is a problem usually occurring on shopping sites like hsn, qvc , wayfarer etc the scrolling ads show up but merchandise images do not. I get a white square and place holder right after the images flash on the screen. I attempted to use a different browser, got firefox, it works but so slowly you'd think I'm on a landline dial up! I have the highest upload speeds available in my area and we use xbox with no speed issues,watch movies with no issues but loading images on the kindle?...nope! Can anyone help please?? As mentioned, I've tried the settings but do not have the option for showing images, I've tried a different browser which takes forever to load the images, silk still won't show them besides a quick flash before going to place holder, and I've shut down the apps that run in the background.. Help! Thanks!

Amazon Fire HD 8: Amazon Fire Tablet Backlight isn't working

Amazon Fire Tablet HD 8”: Screen, touch, sound and power works as I could see what was on the screen at a certain angle with my own light source and slide the brightness slider which quite interestingly did absolutely nothing.

I reset the tablet with the power+volume button but that didn’t help. Haven’t done a factory reset as I assume this is a hardware issue. Worked fine for 7 months until I posted this question.

I assume that the backlight is broken and perhaps the only solutions are to replace the screen or to get a new tablet.

Posting this question in case other people get this specific issue and if there might be a simple solution to this.

Got the digitizer off and the back off. I need to remove the mobo for cleaning. I found and removed four screws and the camera but I cannot get the motherboard out. It feels like there’s another screw or perhaps some adhesive but I’m already putting more pressure on the mobo than I’m comfortable with and it’s not budging at all. The top-right side (as seen in the pic below) lifts up off the frame about a centimeter, but the top-left side lifts barely a millimeter. What’s the secret?
