Not sure if I have the right model as I can’t get it on to look. My Kindle won’t respond to touch. When it first comes on — sometimes — I can manage to turn it on by swiping, and other times it doesn’t respond to swiping. If I do turn it on, after the next touch it becomes unresponsive. I’ve rebooted it, recharged it, allowed the battery to go dead and then recharged it. I connected it to my PC and was able to get in and make one touch and then it went unresponsive at all. I really enjoy my Kindle and would like to get it running again but have no idea what to try next. Tia.

My Kindle 7, 4th generation, has been attempting to do a system update since last Friday, January 12th, 2018. It freezes before it can finish and I have let the battery drain, charged it and tried several times as well as doing the troubleshooting through Amazon and with Tech help but nothing has changed. This device does not have a lot on it to have a full memory and it is still in great condition other than this issue. Is there anything else I can do?

I turned the brightness display down so far that I cannot see anything on the screen.  If I can’t see to reset the brightness is there another way to do it?

Can you help me fix an issue of my device being hacked? Apparently these scoundrels have nothing better to do than try to make my life more difficult than it already is! When I tell you these people are treacherous…well, just amazes me! They have a bad habit of strealing phones…One of which was mine..which is why I'm resigned only to my tablet at the moment! On my kindle, I don’t know if it’s the right generation, but it’s an Amazon Fire Kindle…and it’s been cracked for years, and I had no problems at all..until now. It’s white with black. Here are some images. The kindle still makes sounds when I press the volume keys, is there still hope or no?.

I try using my front facing camera but no image is displayed. I have tried switching my device on and off, but just a black screen display appears. My device is still good and I hope to still be fix this issue.
