Amazon Fire 5th Generation: Device not charging after replacing charging port

I replaced my kindle fire 5th gen rotting charging adapter and now the battery (which was good before) wont charge. I checked the 4 connections from the new charging port and they are good . I get 2.8 volts on the battery terminals. but it still sits at 1%. Also reset device to factory settings and updated software. this is the second one with the exact same problem. Any ideas ?

My Kindle kept crashing so I tried soft and hard resets. Still crashing. Now stuck on fire logo.

Been trying system recovery menu options.

Wipe data/factory reset is only wiping data and not factory resetting?!?!

I’ve owned this Amazon, Fire Kindle for around 8 years, Then one day I accidentally dropped it, and my keyboard would pop up for email, but I could only type a few words then I coudnt’t type anything, The same thing applied to any games that didn't give me a keyboard, I eventually figured out my spacebar was breaking the keyboard, I didn't care bc I could still log in just fine. It worked perfectly fine last night, now its keyboard barley pops up, and when it does I can’t type anything, I have no idea how this happened…. I tried restarting it, but even after 20 restarts the darn thing still won’t work. It allows me to have my keyboard to switch accounts though, I wanna reboot the entire thing if it will fix my keyboard but without my password, the suggestions on this site are pretty useless… perhaps it's because of the age of the fire, but another issue is my charger peace inside the Fire is loose, and falls out and has to be placed perfectly or it won’t charge… I also tried shaking my tablet, I think I hear something loose in it, Plz help me this tablet my only device I can play my very fav game on, and I don’t think my parents will get me another tablet any time soon, plz tell me how to reboot the entire device, everything else seems hopeless at this point.

My friend had purchased Finding Dory the theatrical version on my Amazon account for my son. It works fine on my firestick, but on his tablet it has this lady describing everything even down to a lamp jumping on the letter I for Pixar in the beginning. Everywhere I look says voice reader is turned on, but his tablet only has voiceview screen reader under accessibility as an option and it's off so I have no idea what's going on. Is it because it's the theatrical version? The other shows she bought him don't do it and like I said it works fine on the TV even though it's the theatrical version. Thanks so much!

i have had this tablet since 2015 and local repair shops here can’t fix these due to the fact that this is an imported device. cant access amazon bc this device was a gift. im from the philippines if youre wondering.

Girlfriends child’s tablet the volume is extremely low but very clean no crackling opened it up everything is clean inside speaker looks nice I don’t know what caused this

had an issue with the kindle not turning on. took the back cover off and found a very hot ‘module’ just above the battery connector.

what might it be, and is there a fix?

I lost my Kindle Fire (SV98LN) roughly 3 years ago. Earlier today, my brother found it. It has been dead this whole time (I think). I have looked for other ways to get it to turn on, (like holding the power button for X seconds, etc.) but none have worked. I have had it plugged up for a little while and then tried again, still no result. It doesn't even show that it is charging (some light is supposed to turn on but none has). Is there a way to fix this or do I need to just replace it?

When turning on tablet the Amazon logo comes up then the Fire logo. The Fire logo remains for several minutes and then the screen go black. I am able to restart the tablet by holding down the power button but the problem remains.

I've plugged it into the charger, the fire logo appears on the screen. But then nothing happenes. When pressing the on/off button.

What's happened?

It's not damaged in any way. It's a year old and being barely used.

The Amazon fire 5th generation fire was left on the dash of a car screen side up by the time it was noticed the unit was very hot from the sun. When the tablet was turned on it was like looking at a very lite negative it there a way to fix this
