I've had an apparent short in my circuit forever but always found a way to charge it, by positioning the speaker just right. Now it is not charging at all. Any suggestions?

I have the Altec Bluetooth IME579-AB speaker. Why does it stop responding when the Bluetooth setting on my phone shows it still has a 50% charge. Other Bluetooth devices are able to connect to the same phone and continue to work fine.

Hey, the DC IN charger port ony speaker is broken and no longer can hold onto the charger cable and charge. Can this be replaced? If so, how is it removed and where can I buy a replacement part? Thanks!
