Alienware M18x: How to remove top cover from display assembly

My LCD screen failed so I extracted the display assembly but failed to find a replacement for it but did find parts available from some disassembly outlets but only for the assembly minus the back cover. I succeeded in removing the back cover and top cover on my assembly but cracked the LCD panel when trying to pry off the top cover. I have managed to purchase and assembly minus its back cover but the top cover is not the correct one for my m18x so need a good way of prying the top cover from the LCD.

I found that the glue used to attach the LCD is so tough that using plastic prying tools does not work and as I tried and failed using metal ones need to find some way of softening the glue.

Anyone any hints for me?

Alienware M18x: Why my Keyboard is not working?

Hello

Please i need some Help , Last Month suddenly my Alienware M18x R1

keyboard and all the function buttons around it stopped working i don't know why

One day i did a restart and suddenly not a single key is working including the volume

buttons , CD eject button , etc

All the laptop Keys and Buttons is not working includes the mini Keyboard on the left side , the only Button that still working is the power Button and i find that strange because the power Button is located in the same

frame as the Volume and CD Buttons and this frame around the keyboard is using the same cable to attache to the motherboard so why only the power Button still working and the Buttons is dead .

I don't know if i replaced the Keyboard and the frame around will fix the problem

a friend of mine told it may be a Motherboard or a chip problem .

So i was hoping for someone to help me to diagnose the problem so i can replace the correct parts and get back the keyboard because right now I'm using a USB keyboard

Thank you in advance for your attention and any help will be much appreciated

Regards
