I was having alot of problems with my laptop now . I cant access to any things but i was connected to wifi . I have tried many methods but none of them works for me. For example , i can’t connect to gmail , i cant download anything in microsoft store , and i cant even drag an image to here . LOL . I have had the laptop for years and it feels such a waste to just throw it away. It works fine but when I have tabs open and when I game, sometimes it shuts off which can be quite annoying.

I can only connect to ethernet but when I try troubleshooting or just simply clicking the lower right icon for wifi, nothing but "airplane mode" appears.

My Alienware P42F doesn't power on. When I press the power button. It beeps 8 times and the screen stays black..... recently it started to beep 4 times but the screen is still just black. Any help would be appreciated

Alienware 17 R3: Replacement battery nowhere in stock/untrustworthy companies

Hi all,

I’ve recently obtained an Alienware 17 R3 laptop which has a failed battery. I want to replace it as it’s really annoying having to power down the laptop every time I want to move it.

I’ve been looking about for a replacement battery but I can’t find any. I’ve contacted three companies that advertise the required battery, but they’ve replied saying they don’t have it in stock, neither do their suppliers.

Otherwise, companies I have checked out on Trustpilot have been reviewed as very untrustworthy and mostly sell knock-off batteries from cheap Chinese firms which I am very keen to avoid.

Could anyone give me some pointers or direct me to a trustworthy company that may have this battery replacement in stock?

Alienware 17 R3: How do I fix my Alienware 17 R3's charger port and Air vent in back

My charger port is not at the point where it can't charge is still can but It's really damaged and the air vent in the back next to the graphic amplifier port are broken.The vent is deformed and lost some plastic

hi ,

I have two issues with my laptop

sometimes it heats up
when I remove my power , on battery it shows either blue screen or hangs up ut after i restart my laptop with plugged in its ok

Power is on but no fans. Alien face is blue when plugged in but when I unplug it color changes to amber. Unplugged battery and pressed power button and plugged back up and same thing. Checked ram seat and hard drive still no change.

Alienware 17 R3: Blue trim LED very dim (blue only), need to replace

Noticed the side trim on my alienware (usually full blue) was very dim, I went into the AlienFX app and tried some other colors. Anything mixed with blue is over taken by the green or red led - so no purple, teal ect. My guess is the blue on the LED is buggered. What I need to know what style of LED I'm guessing an RGB-LED but what size and board or panel mount? Also where about on the laptop are the outside trim (#6 on AlienFX) components located..
