Alarm Clock: My Spartus alarm clock is displaying weird symbols.

Hello,

I've had a Spartus Digital Alarm Clock for a while, but it never worked. Whenever I plug it in, it just shows this:

But when I put in a 9-volt battery, it works, but runs 5 minutes fast.

Here's some things I've tried:

Opening up the unit to see if anything was wrong

Seeing if any contact points were not connecting correctly ( i ended up almost shorting the board because i used the metal end)

Checking for frayed wires

None of them resulted in my clock working. How can I fix this?

Followed instructions on taking apart iHome ID95 clock Radio. The ipod connector had become cockeyed and would not hold the iPad for charging. Problem traced to clamp that holds one side of ipod connector in coming loose. Can reinstall and tighten EXCEPT I did not notice how the small spring attached to shaft should be installed. I had removed the other side in troubleshooting and now I have two springs that I need to reinstall and can not find good picture that shows how they are installed. Contacted iHome and they claimed their techs do not work on components. Even a picture would be a great help.

Alarm Clock: Alarm clock doesn´t work, still the display blinks

I lived 6 months abroad, and after I returned home, I realised that I had forgotten to unplug my alarm clock. I found the display working normally, but the digital digit segments were all blinking. (With digit segments I mean the digital 8 which is used to represent all other digits in digital displays.)

Then something interesting happened, I unplugged the device and the display went off. However I can see the digits continuosly blinking even though no current is present and the device does NOT have a battery. It is still blinking even after 10 hours and it occasionally makes a small sound, same sound as if a button is pressed.

How is this phenomenon even possible and is there a way to fix this, or should I give up my hope?

Thanks in advance!

Sony ICF-C1T: How can I prevent my satellite clock from gaining?

My Sony Cube clock radio is supposedly satellite controlled, but it is slowly gaining and it is now approximately 20 minutes fast. It’s a lot of hassle to reset the time - and date, for it to recognise spring and autumn hour changes - so I am looking for a way to prevent its constant gain. It replaces a similar model which had the same problem. Is there any model which would not have this problem?

I woke up this morning to find that my alarm's wake up light worked, but the alarm didn't go off despite it being set. I tried resetting the alarm and while it showed it was set, it wasn't beeping, and it wouldn't let me change it to any sound other than beeping. I unplugged it and then plugged it back in (it doesn't run on battery), but that didn't do anything.

The weirdest part is that I could still switch it to FM, and when I turned on the volume, it could play the radio and beep. Unfortunately, it wouldn't stop beeping because that's just the volume control. The alarm still doesn't work.

Tl;dr the volume and sounds work, but the alarm won't go off or set correctly.
