What could the issue be? It seems to rotate smoothly when turned off so I don't think friction is the issue

We have already tried replacing the power cord to no avail. We can’t find the problem, and can’t find spare parts that’d enable to switch and test the boards. Any recommendations?

I thought about fixing it myself, but the only manuals I could find for it are user manuals, which aren't much help when trying to fix a discontinued unit.

I read that if the fan is hard to turn, then the motor needs to be replace, but after taking it apart, I'm able to see that the fans still spin freely.

I was hoping that someone could point me a repair manual for this that might help me figure out the issue. I'm going to start poking around the insides two days from now. I would do it tonight, but I want to give the capacitors plenty of time to drain.

The demon engineer embedded the screws in deep narrow tunnels, too narrow for interchangeable bits. Which also makes it difficult to photograph.

Opened it up to find a coil/inductor has blown as well as some burn marks next to a chip with the markings VIPER12A F24610. Which i've found this as a possible replacement? https://cpc.farnell.com/stmicroelectroni...

I'm reasonably handy with a soldering iron but not very good at problem solving circuit boards. I am looking to purchase a new coil/inductor to replace as well but no idea which one to buy. The colours are BROWN - BLACK - RED - SILVER

I contacted Vax but they cannot supply a schematic or any replacement parts so here I am.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance!

Thank you for the reply! That's a great help. I searched the board numbers but unfortunately didn't find any results.

I did however notice the fan had 220v AC printed on it so decided to crimp this directly to the power cable. (I'm in the UK so our household sockets are 230v) It's fixed on medium speed but it works until I can source the right components

then back down, then off. Repeats with subsequent attempts.

Filters have been replaced. One Electrolytic capacitor replaced that had bubbled.

Tested and no change,

Nope. I have not isolated the problem yet.

Otherwise those devices work fine.

I'm also struggling to locate the fuse (46211600000) in the UK. Would any T1.6A 250v fuse be a suitable replacement/ are there any specialist shop in London where I could locate a replacement part?

To maintain the temperature I tried different temperature option by run it low and high temperature but it did not work.

Even I do not have its remote control so I can not control it by remote. At the medium temperature it was run for some more time but it not stay on that mode.

On the start the display shows the certain temperature and when it throw cold blow (turn the mode) it shows the "H2" on the display and the bouton will not gave any response in that mode I have to turn it off from the switch board.
