Acer Swift 3: My laptop won’t turn on and is flashing orange lights

On my Acer laptop there is two orange flashing lights on the side, it won’t turn on, I’ve tried turning off all power adapters and holding it down for 30 seconds. Nothing has worked and it’s still not turning on, can someone please help me

I own an acer swift 3 SF314-55g and it has an annoying back panel to open as its too tight and there are no gaps to work with. Is there a trick to opening it or is it not even design to be opened?

Hi all, I have an Acer swift sf314-54 which the screen needs replacing , however it dose not seem to be held in with screws to the back case like models before and ater it, I havent been able to find a ‘how to’ to remove it either, so dose someone have any advice on this please.

Acer Swift 3: My laptop won't charge

Hey, so my laptop has stopped charging after 3 years. I tried a different power cable but that's all. The problem could be anywhere form the power pack down. I've never had any issues like this before so I have no idea what it could be. Should I try to fix it myself?

Don't really want to spend 200 euro to repair something that cost me 800

Acer Swift 3 SF314-42: Acer Swift SF314-42 Battery not Charging

Hello,

Right off the bat : electronics repair is not my job, this is my first time poking about on a motherboard with a multimeter, and I'm unsure I'm measuring right. I have an Acer SF314-42 laptop whose battery won't charge, in windows (able to boot fine with power cable plugged) it says it's charging and battery at 0%. If I unplug the adapter (charge via USB-C), the laptop instantly turns off.

I've been able to find a schematic here which I've opened the laptop and checked the connector between the motherboard and the battery because I found a tutorial for an Acer laptop having the similar issue here though it's not the same model, it looks like a similar adapter. The guy in the video measures the voltage between every pin of the laptop and I tried to follow a similar diagnostic procedure.

I did that, and in the schematics linked above (which I've been able to view online with nextbv I see that the battery motherboard connector is called PJP2 and the pin all the way to the right is supposed to be 12.6 Volts, which I imagine is to be measured w.r.t. the ground. I suppose that if the motherboard works fine, I should be able to get 12.6 V reading when reading the tension between that pin and ground when the laptop is plugged in ?

In any case I tried to measure that and was getting the following (rather worrying) measurements, see the attached pictures and captions on google drive here.

What can I conclude from this ? Is the board toast and should I replace it ? Or is it the battery ?

Just bought the laptop an hour ago and the “m” key is dark. I assume my “m” key is faulty as it's too thick and doesn't let any backlight through and I need my keys in the dark. Should I go and get a replacement/refund or is there a way to replace a single keycap on the Acer swift 3?

Acer Swift 3: Single tap on the trackpad highlights?

This has happened twice before, without changing any settings whatsoever (well, to my knowledge anyway). Usually, a single tap on the trackpad would register as a click, but instead of clicking, the cursor locks on and it highlights everything. The only way to properly click and select stuff on-screen was to press on the touchpad. This problem usually surfaces very suddenly. I was wondering if I had accidentally activated some shortcut... how I should rectify this? Thanks in advance:)

Acer Swift 3: Camera, USB, card reader, blue tooth not working

Camera, Bluetooth, USB and card reader not working nor are they registered in device manager. Presuming a dead board of sorts. While the USB ports on the main board do not work, the html port does, who h are next to each other. Does the main board need replacing, or another board in the unit?

Acer Swift 1 SF114-33: Unable to access BIOS after dual booting Pop!_OS and Windows 11 Pro

About a few weeks ago, I decided to dual boot for the first time. And, Pop!_OS appeared to be the perfect linux distro.
But, one small issue (actually not that small...), my BIOS doesn't quite work anymore!
When I press f2, the screen just blacks out, and my mouse just reverts to its basic lighting option.
I have uninstalled Pop!_OS, yet, my BIOS still has the same issue...
I have the acer BIOS version 1.05, the latest version for this laptop.
I have tried installing the update file to the same version, but it detects the current BIOS I have and quits.
To anyone with a laptop very similar, like the SF114-34, or even mine, please help!

Acer Swift 3 SF314-59: Not taking a charge.

Hello, I have an Acer swift sf314-59-74f1

The dc port stopped working some time ago so I continued to use and charge it via the usc charging function.

Recently the laptop has stopped taking a charge entirely.

I did try to have the dc port fixed a while ago but the person said it wasn't fixable.

Anyone know how to get this laptop up and running again? New battery? Or whst?
