Acer Swift 3: Some keys on the keyboard won't work.

My Backspace, Backslash, Enter, Up Down and Right arrow keys, and my semicolin keys on my keyboard is not working anymore. I used to be able to fix it by gentlelling hitting my PC, or to slightly bend it (I know its not good). But now no matter what I do, it won't work. I now often have to pull out my on screen keyboard or use left arrow and delete key in order to undo my errors, and its painful.

Hello everyone! I have an acer swift 3 laptop (SF314-51-5831). It has gotten wet multiple times in the past. Another thing is that I often carried it in my backpack up close to my back with the weight of the backpack contents pressing onto the lid, which caused the hinge screws to come loose. When i recently started using it again after a pause the screen was working fine. But then it started to freeze/become grayscale/ only show top third (see attached photos). I have then taken the laptop apart and took all the tape of the EDP-cable to see if it was damaged. It still looks intact. When I connect the laptop via HDMI to an external monitor the picture is clear. When I hooked the screen back up via EDP-cable and gently bent the screen a while in all directions(just fiddling around) the picture was clear again(see attached photos). What causes this problem and how can i fix it? How can I prevent it from returning when I put the laptop back together? It seems to me there is water damage and I need to clean something but what? I don't want to buy a new screen or EDP-cable only if absolutely necessary. The screen panel is an AU Optronics B140HAN02.1. The EDP-cable is an CA4DB 1422-02GG000. Acer Swift 3: My Laptop Shuts Down When Connected to Both Battery and Charger

I've noticed that my laptop shuts down instantly whenever I connect it to both the battery and the charger at the same time. This issue doesn't occur when it's running only on battery or just with the charger. Has anyone experienced a similar problem or have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Note: I have recently replaced the battery two times. Once because the original battery was completely dead. I then proceeded with another replacement because i was not able to charge the first replaced battery, which worked until it has been discharged. Now I have a half charged battery which i can use, but if i plug-in the adapter to charge it, the PC turns off with a popping sound. On the other hand I can turn on the PC if i disconnect the battery and only use the adapter.

I tried most of the usual recommended procedures of holding power button pressed, or BIOS reset, or battery pin pressing, and so on...

I also replaced the DC in Power Jack charger Charging Port Cable Connector.

I visually inspected the motherboard, but i could not find any damaged piece.

I accidentally dropped my ethyl alcohol on my laptop. Thankfully little alcohol reached the main parts of my laptop and I immediately wiped it all off. However, the alcohol reached my touchpad and I also immediately dried and wiped all the alcohol off. After doing all this process, all keys on my keyboard are working and my touchpad can still move the cursor but it won't do the click or select command anymore. Can someone help me?

Hey, so my laptop has stopped charging after 3 years. I tried a different power cable but that's all. The problem could be anywhere form the power pack down. I've never had any issues like this before so I have no idea what it could be. Should I try to fix it myself?

Don't really want to spend 200 euro to repair something that cost me 800

Acer Swift 3: Camera, USB, card reader, blue tooth not working

Camera, Bluetooth, USB and card reader not working nor are they registered in device manager. Presuming a dead board of sorts. While the USB ports on the main board do not work, the html port does, who h are next to each other. Does the main board need replacing, or another board in the unit?

Acer Swift 3: USB is stuck in port, cant get it out

My dad took my comp at some point in time before, but he came back with a noggin stuck to the USB port. Couldn’t get it out by normal means and had to break it since it was doing something weird to the computer. Now I’d like to get the stuck hardware out, but I don’t really see a good way of pulling it . Any help for that one? It’s getting really annoying :/

Acer Swift 3: No Bootable Device Problem

I currently have an Acer Swift 3 SF315-52 Laptop. I restarted the computer to fix an application bug, but when I tried to boot it up, it gave me a “No Bootable Device” Error. I looked into possible fix’s on the internet and most of them recommend changing the Boot Mode from UEFI to Legacy. However, this option is grayed out for me and I cannot change it. I have attempted to change many other settings in the bios to change the boot mode, but I have still not figured it out. Does anybody know how to fix this?
