I was able to get each of them to work by installing them with the charger plugged in BUT, if you sign out or power it off it's back to square one.. no recognition of the battery and no boot up. FYI, I've tried after market and OEM batteries with the same result. Does anyone have a solution or explanation?

I let it dry for a day, then let it charge.I got it to charge, turn on, and function, but there are a few keys that seem to press others at the same time. Obviously, this means there is either still water or a sticky path left. Can I safely open it to wipe it off? Or are there things I should particularly watch out for with these Chromebooks?

It does turn on if I connect it to an external monitor so that's good. Everything else is fine except screen. I think it might be the cable for the LCD that's routed through the hinge. How do I get to that cable or how do I get the cable from the hinge?
