Acer Spin 5: Replaced Battery - Battery not working anymore

Hi folks,

Like the title says, I replaced the battery of my Acer Spin 5, with a new, original one.

But the new one was not really recognized, the battery LED was just flashing orange instead of just shining. I thought, Ok, maybe thats the way it is for a fresh new one,

but it just flashes (for hours) and at some point just stops flashing, but it is not charged at all.

The Laptop itself is working fine - as long as the power is plugged in. And he recognizes the battery with 0% charge. And that never changes.

There is also a battery reset button, which I pressed for 1 second, 2, 4 (which should be the right number), 10, 20 seconds ... with no success.

So I replaced it back to my old battery - which is indeed charging and the OS gives me accurate numbers - but he also can't use the battery anymore - meaning nothing works without plugged in powercable.

As a last hope I allready removed the cmos battery ... with no success.

Does anyone has an idea what else I could do, besides sending it to Acer?

Cheers,

Lukas

Acer Spin 5: Battery not quite fitting ….

Bought a replacement battery for my Spin 5, 13”.

Same battery number, was able to install and power up, charge and calibrate the battery.

Problem with the laptop not closing with the new battery installed. Only difference on the old and new battery are 2 small tabs on the lower side of the new battery, that seems to prevent the bottom cover from properly snapping together. Screws work but small bulges in the cover.

Wondering if I should cut off the extra tabs on the new battery so the bottom cover will snap properly into place? Bottom tabs don’t seem to secure the battery in any way.

Acer Spin 5 N17W2: Screen turns on and off repeatedly not allowing me to use the laptop

After a minor accident, the power button of my laptop screen got pushed in. I was unable to turn on my laptop but it was charging. So, I got it fixed from a local computer repair place. They said the switch as missing and replaced it with a Travelmate switch they had. It was sort of precariously put back in place but at least I was able to turn on and use my laptop. But after a few weeks of irregular use, the outside button started to slip in and I was unable to turn it back on. After pushing the button a little more, the laptop screen lit up with a dull black colour and went back off in 2 seconds. This is my problem right now. The screen simply keeps lighting u (dull black) and turns off repeatedly with a gap of abut 5 seconds. Unable to make it work or turn it on. Can you help me identify the problem?

Acer Spin 5 SP515-51GN-807G: Permanent Black Screen after pressing F6(Display Off button)

Hello, someone pressed the F6 key which has the function to turn the display off. The display didn't turn on again.

The laptop was/is functioning, and can be connected to a 2nd monitor, but

Recently, after turning it off, then coming back later, I was not able to connect it to a 2nd monitor.

Things discovered when there was connection to a 2nd monitor:

The background turned into an orange dashed black line

There were no artifacts, or signs that the GPU is faulty.

GeForce Experience could not updated the GPU.

Ctrl+Shift+Windows+B(GPU Reset) worked, but now that connecting to a 2nd monitor does not work, GPU wake-up does not work(no audible beep).

I would be extremely grateful if someone could help out in how I could fix the laptop. Taking it to several repair shops said it would be too risky due to touch screen possibly being broken.

I just want to know how to disassemble it to try & re-plug the laptop screen, because that could fix it.

If you possibly know any other possible solutions, please let me know.

Acer Spin 5 N17W2: Problem with charging the labtop

Background information:

I have a acer spin 5 and around 1 year ago I was charging it on a table with the chargers wire on the floor my brother came running and tripped on the wire and flinged the labtop across the room I sent the labtop to be fixed at acer in Dubai and they fixed the charger outlet inside the labtop for 400dhs / 130$ … But I never sent them the charger which had been damaged ( the pin got slightly bent ) but it continued to work after they fixed the laptop and sent it back

Fast forward to today:

Whenever I put my charger into the laptop I have to push very hard into the laptop for it to start charging and whenever I release the pressure the charger goes a bit out and stops charging … I opened my laptop from the bottom and took out the back case and I plugged the charger in without the back case and now it works just fine -.- idk what is going on I dont know if the problem is from the laptops itself or the charging cable which has a slightly bent pin

Pls helppppp <33
