Acer Predator 17.3": Acer Predator G9-792 upgrading screen from fullHD to 4k

Hello

Here's my issue: I want to upgrade my screen from FHD to UHD on a G9-792 and since I see both 4k and 2k versions on the market, I think its possible.

I've did some googling and found out that:

- FHD pannel is: LP173WF4-SPF1, and ebay sellers state its has a 30 pins eDP connector.

-UHD pannel is: B173ZAN01.0 (AUO109B) and it has a 40 pins connector.

I've did some further research by partially disassembling my laptop and here's what I see inside - it actually has a 40 pin display connector on the motherboard while my display is FHD. Thus I'm not sure if 4k model will work with it.

Acer Predator 17.3": My GPU fan is making an annoying noise.

I have an Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-52-75DE. The GPU fan, on the right side, is making a low pitched rattling noise. It’s very hard to describe, but it’s like a purring or growling. The fan propellor is metal not plastic for some reason, but I think that could be it. I tried using some foam tape for shock absorption, and that did help a bit. My only idea is to buy a replacement fan and swap the propellers. I can include some pictures if that would be helpful.

My acer predator laptop all of a sudden stopped charging, one night it was charging just fine and the next day it just stopped, it wasnt moved from its spot or dropped or damaged in anyway, just stopped charging

A few days ago, I bought an Acer Predator 17, turned it on, and noticed a problem with lcd display. So, as the laptop has no guaranty, I decided to disassemble the laptop and change the lcd screen with a new one. But couldn't find any screw on the lcd front bezel. How can I open it?

Acer Predator Triton 300: Where can I find a replacement CPU (and GPU if cheap enough) fan?

Hi, my son's laptop fans have always been loud. The CPU fan now makes an awful noise. We stripped it down and cleaned it up but it looks like it's too late for the CPU fan.

I can't seem to find a replacement. Is there a reputable place in the UK to buy replacement parts? I never know if I need to be exact with fans for specific models.

So the main idea here is that i get better performance whilst plugged in.

I like gaming so I play a lot. I usually start playing when the battery is low so i can play and charge , thinking it's better for the battery to be used (charged and discharged) .

After playing for a while the battery gets full , and I want to keep playing with the same performance. So I came up with the idea to add a switch to the cables connecting the battery wires with the motherboard. So I can stop using the battery when it hits 100% and continue playing plugged in. And after finishing I would turn the switch on, connecting the battery with the motherboard and then remove the plug and continue browsing using the battery. But am afraid to try because i just got this laptop.

Hello, I’ve some problems with my keyboard.

I have a Acer laptop that I purchased a couple of years ago and it does not store the L, K & spacebar keys while writing on documents.

I’ve to press those keys several times for it to work. I am a little bit confused, is it a mechanical problem? Or a software issue? Should I need to replace my keyboard? I am unable to fix the issue.

My laptop, which I bought in 2019, has been working until now. Recently, the GPU fan stopped working. I checked it and found that the fan was broken. I think the prolonged use and high temperatures caused the plastic fan from 2019 to become brittle and break easily. Hello, I have encountered such a problem, my laptop acrer predator Helios 300 model ph315-52-713r does not turn on after the end of work. When the power supply is connected, the fully charged battery indicator lights up, when you try to turn it on, an inconspicuous click is heard somewhere in the laptop (goes into protection) and the power supply goes into protection if you reconnect the power supply, the history repeats. Help, what to do?

Predator Helios 300 (2018): screen flashes, then turns off unless at specific angle

Device is used, so not sure what exactly caused this, but the screen will flicker and go out completely until its moved. When screen goes black on laptop, if a monitor is connected, it changes resolution to a point where it's not visible. Have tried to format it, and no luck.

Predator Helios 300 (2018): screw heads worn out

I normally clean my laptop frequently, but this time, when I tried to open it for a cleanup, the screw heads were worn. The screws used to hold the HDD drive had worn out. How do I remove it so that I can replace it with new ones? I did try using a bigger screwdriver and using a rubber band for grip. Even tried with a tape. Is there any way around?
