Acer Predator 17.3": Acer Predator G9-792 upgrading screen from fullHD to 4k

Hello

Here's my issue: I want to upgrade my screen from FHD to UHD on a G9-792 and since I see both 4k and 2k versions on the market, I think its possible.

I've did some googling and found out that:

- FHD pannel is: LP173WF4-SPF1, and ebay sellers state its has a 30 pins eDP connector.

-UHD pannel is: B173ZAN01.0 (AUO109B) and it has a 40 pins connector.

I've did some further research by partially disassembling my laptop and here's what I see inside - it actually has a 40 pin display connector on the motherboard while my display is FHD. Thus I'm not sure if 4k model will work with it.

Acer Predator 17.3": My GPU fan is making an annoying noise.

I have an Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-52-75DE. The GPU fan, on the right side, is making a low pitched rattling noise. It’s very hard to describe, but it’s like a purring or growling. The fan propellor is metal not plastic for some reason, but I think that could be it. I tried using some foam tape for shock absorption, and that did help a bit. My only idea is to buy a replacement fan and swap the propellers. I can include some pictures if that would be helpful.

My acer predator laptop all of a sudden stopped charging, one night it was charging just fine and the next day it just stopped, it wasnt moved from its spot or dropped or damaged in anyway, just stopped charging

A few days ago, I bought an Acer Predator 17, turned it on, and noticed a problem with lcd display. So, as the laptop has no guaranty, I decided to disassemble the laptop and change the lcd screen with a new one. But couldn't find any screw on the lcd front bezel. How can I open it?

So the main idea here is that i get better performance whilst plugged in.

I like gaming so I play a lot. I usually start playing when the battery is low so i can play and charge , thinking it's better for the battery to be used (charged and discharged) .

After playing for a while the battery gets full , and I want to keep playing with the same performance. So I came up with the idea to add a switch to the cables connecting the battery wires with the motherboard. So I can stop using the battery when it hits 100% and continue playing plugged in. And after finishing I would turn the switch on, connecting the battery with the motherboard and then remove the plug and continue browsing using the battery. But am afraid to try because i just got this laptop.

I don’t know how to replace the battery on this laptop and I also need to know where and how to find one. I have opened the bottom before, and saw the battery but it said it voids your warranty if it’s opened.

Acer Predator 17.3": My laptop died but still has lights

I was using my laptop when everything turned off except the power button, the button that turns the mouse pad on and off, and a light next to the charging indicator that has a light bulb on it. I wasn't moving it nor unplugged it. What could've happen? Do I need to replace the battery? I tried a new cord and nothing changes.

Acer Predator 17.3": steam vr glitchy with quick movements

my friend owns a predator g9-591 with an aorus external graphics card and steam vive. about 2 months ago it started happening. quick movements and holding your arms out caused the game to lag and sort of skip a frame or two.

Acer Predator 17.3": Is my charging port still working?

My laptop was plugged in and charging. Came back to a flooded room and the adapter was totally submerged. The laptop is still working but the adapter is damaged.

The socket it was plugged into is currently not working as well.

I am looking for a solution to repair my laptop battery part number AS15B3N, I am not in a mood to replace the whole battery because it's out of my budget, I prefer to repair it myself if anyone out there has any effective way to repair it.

The battery design capacity is 90,000 mWh, and currently, it does not store power more than 38,190 mWh. Which is last for 15 to 20 minutes or sometimes just 5 minutes.

I need a replacement 1080p display pannel for the acer predator 17 g5-793 laptop. I do not have access to the previous pannel. All I know is it was a 17.3", 1920x1080, 30 pin, 75hz display.
