Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54: Why is my fan so loud?

My fan is SUPER loud, because its always running as high as it can … I can adjust the cool boost, the CPU and the GPU individually, and nothing makes a difference. I also run my laptop with a fan pad underneath and it doesnt matter. Its not overheating or anything ….. just acts like it is. And it doesnt matter where the CPU is running at … everything is smooth and running as it should, with all games cranked and all …… the noise has me in tears some nights because I cant hear people over discord comfortably. Please help me! My last Nitro 5 was SO quiet, and this stupid new condensed model is driving me nuts

I have a RTX 2060 with 16gb RAM and an I5-9300H and the games don’t feel good at all to play. I tried FIFA21 and I have a strange lag. It looks like I only have about 20fps. Then, I tried Fortnite and Warzone, which went really bad. I do not understand which is the probem. I found a video on YT and on the same platform, the same games were looking very, very good. I have also changed the nvidia settings to high performance and all that stuff but still as before. Is there somebody who can help me with this problem? Thank you in advance.

Acer nitro 5 AN515 55 53E5: My Laptop doesn’t even turn on when connected to power

Okay, so I noticed the model of nitro 5 I had did not have a page dedicated to it, so I decided to make one.

Onto my laptop. I was using it normally and all of sudden everything just went black. I didn’t shake it or anything, although it’s worth mentioned that it has blue screened a ton in the past thanks to dropping it a few times.

After it goes black I quickly check whether the charging light is on, it isn’t. It seems like it’s fully bricked. I tried turning it on a ton no response and no lights for that matter. I thought it was a socket issue, changed it and still no avail. I removed the charger and tried starting it, there was no use. I tried almost everything that was there in the online help guides nothing worked. It definitely should be a hardware issue.

I even tried waiting for several hours with the laptop unplugged from the charger, still no light or anything for that matter. Looks like it’s been fully bricked. I can’t identify the issue either. Does any parts have to be replaced?

Acer Nitro: Acer nitro 5 (possibly model n20c1) not charging or indicating life.

Hello, I have had an Acer nitro 5 for about three years, but now, suddenly, it will no longer charge. I cannot access anything on the computer due to the fact that it died while I was troubleshooting. I no longer have the box, and the words have faded, but I believe it is a n20c1 from what I can read.

Things I have already tried:

Power button: I have tried holding the power button for extended periods of time, but due to the computers lack of power, this hasn't been changing anything.

Charger: The charger does not seem to affect the computer. The charger is in mild condition, due to the fact that over time the cats of my house have bitten it. I don't think this is the problem because the charger stopping was abrupt, and no cats had bitten the charger for a long time.

Power bank: I have tried using a power bank to make sure it wasn't the fault of the charger. The power bank had no affect on the computer, and didn't cause the LEDs to glow.

External keyboard: I saw a post on here where someone thought maybe the problem on their computer was due to the power button on the keyboard no longer working. I plugged an external keyboard into the computer and tried the same steps as with the normal keyboard, but to no avail.

Additional information:

I do not have the equipment or knowledge to test things inside of the computer

I have tested multiple outlets, and that doesn't seem to be the problem

I have used the power bank on other technology after it didn't work with my computer, and it itself works fine.

The case is missing a screw. I don't know whether this is important or not, but if needed, the instructions for finding the screws position are the following.

Flip the computer so the bottom is up.

Orient computer so charging port is facing you.

It is the bottom left screw next to one of the warning hot surface triangle stickers if the computer is sat right from the last two steps.

I hope this is enough information to diagnose the problem, and if not, I will try to respond to as many suggestions as I can. Thank you in advance for any help!
