My sister spilt water on my acer chromebook. Now when I type it'll mess up. Like 'h' will bring up a '/' and 2 will take you to the beginning of the sentence. My side arrows aren't working at all and I can't even log in at the moment.

Acer Chromebook C710: Laptop fell apart- How to repair?

My laptop's casing around the screen and base of the laptop is starting to come apart. I am wondering if there is any easy way to fix it- besides duct-taping the entire thing- which is probably a bad idea!

Here are some pictures of the current issue.

Part of the piece in the back that helps the laptop close/open has broken off.

I am also unable to close the laptop.

is there anything I can do to fix this?

Purchased a replacement battery for my C710-2847. Came in, was a different shape than the existing one. Existing one is about 3/4" thick (flat), while replacement is larger and triangle shaped. Fits, but I can't get it to charge up. When new battery in place, and unit plugged into ac power, no battery icon shows.

Any idea where I can purchase a flat replacement (AL12B32) 14.8vdc 2500 mah. Or was the one I purchased just so dead I couldn't get it to charge? Should I try another triangular one?

Acer Chromebook C710: Is there a Screen switch?

Recently started having problems with the screen turning on/off intermittently. Opening the screen sometimes it goes blank, fades or screen is all grey. Noticed that if I grab the right corner near the hinge and squeeze upper and lower halves together it comes on. Also noticed the screw at that corner holding the halves together is stripped. Is there a switch in there that activates the screen when opened. I cannot remove the stripped screw. It is stripped in place and will not come out. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I have an Acer Chromebook C710-2834 that's 2-3 years old. I am having issues with charging a new battery. The battery health is fine. The battery will not hold any charge (when I unplug the power cord the laptop powers down).

I've had problems with the old battery not charging when plugged for months now and it finally stopped charging entirely, so I bought a new one. This new one only powers the laptop when plugged in.

I'm wondering what's the procedure for replacing the charging chip? And where I would find it? Also, if anyone knows the entire layout/diagram/schematic of the c710's charging components, that would also be helpful to see. Thanks in advance.

every time i try to access my facebook apps such as pet rescue saga, or farm heroes saga...my chromebook will not allow me to do so...It takes so long to load..i guess it finally times out...this is a new problem and i have already done some troubleshooting...i cleared my browsing history..and have done a powerwash with no luck...what can i do???please help!!

Acer Chromebook C710: hard drive connector problem

a little bit ago, my chromebook started having problems, after a bit of researching and looking at the hard drive, i think i found the problem, but could never find a solution.

the connector wasnt staying connected to the motherboard. i used to be able to pinch it to keep it connected, but after doing that a bit it stopped working all together. so i gave up

i recently heard of this place and figured i'd give it a shot here. i dont know if i need a new connector or a new set of cables. if i need a new motherboard connector, then good luck as theres a plastic support beam for the backing and i cant completely screw off the backing due to screw heads stripped. when they installed it, they tighened it way to much, even with the correct screwdriver and size, i just couldnt get it off.
