Both MB serial numbers have the same starting pattern (NBG7C11001). They also have the same CPU!

The laptop works fine with external display attached to HDMI. The laptop display backlight works and can be regulated up and down, but nothing else. Is it the display or the display cable? How do I find spare parts?
