Acer Aspire ES1-711-P1UV: Blank screen, fan running power LED is on.

Hello, I need some help with my laptop. Today I turned on the laptop but the screen was black (no boot up, no acer logo, nothing.) Just the fan at full power and the power Led was on. I've tried changing hard drives, removing and reinserting the ram, pressing the disconnect battery button and waiting for 5 min and plugging it into another display. But still, nothing at all. I really need this fixed as I don't have enough money to just buy another one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Acer Aspire ES1-512-C80E: Why is my 2017 Acer Aspire slower than a cheap 2013 Toshiba Satellite?

The Toshiba has 6 GB, the Acer, too (I upgraded it to 6 gb). But only the Acer (still) lags. Both are running Windows 10 (The Toshiba released in 2013 was Windows 8 ready but also ran Windows 7). To this day the Toshiba is breezingly fast. The Acer has been slow from day 1. Even our other 2011 Toshiba is faster and better in every way.

Frankly, I’m surprised Toshiba left the laptop business and Acer aren’t bankrupt. I’ve never met an Acer user that will repeat their purchase. I won’t either. My 2013 Toshiba Satellite C855-2G1 laptop is faster and better in every way than my loggy, slow 2017 Acer Aspire.

Anyway my questions are - how can an Acer be made faster without upgrading it or upgrading to a better brand?

I purchased an Acer aspire 3, A315-31-C8WK slim red design with 4gb DDR3s L (check media uploads for more specs) I am/have been looking vigorously For the right type of memory upgrade, which RAM I would need; I just purchased this laptop not even 60 to 90 days ago and other than the fact that it’s only got 4 GB ram she runs fine…

But because of such a small amount of memory she also runs like a dial-up. Should be much quicker!

I'm trying to replace the power button from my keyboard as it can't reach the power switch inside for whatever reason. However, there is a metal plate covering the inside of the keyboard (picture attached) which I can't figure out how to remove. There are black screw-esque things holding it in place but they can't be unscrewed. I need to know how to remove this plate so that I can get to the power button and replace it.
