Acer Aspire E5: Laptop does not open or charging , a chip is blown, what is it?

My Laptop Model:

as seller told me : aspire-e5-473

on other hand "Model no: n15c1 " written in laptop's backside.

So the problem is my brother tried to change the battery. unfortunately he didn't noticed that he is trying to join the connector in reverse. so that it wasn't fitted here . after few moment of trying he saw laptop is smoking 🤦🏻‍♂️ . after opening the laptop, he founds an IC has burned.

it burned so badly so its impossible to see what is the IC number. and also after removing this IC we saw there are some footprints also burned

. but we just figure out that the IC no printed on the board. i need to know the ic number. and also is this possible to bypass the burned footprint.

Thanks in advance <3

Acer Aspire E5: recovery disks, are they available somewhere?

My daughter acquired an Acer Aspire v5-122 P 0649. I would like to reset the laptop to factory and go from there. However, the problem is when I go into Disk Management, although all the partitions are there, ie, Recovery - 400MB, EFI - 300MB, Recovery - 350MB, New Volume (E:) Primary - 11.28GB, and lastly, Windows (C:) 226.04GB, with 79% Free Space.... The big problem is all the partitions except for Windows (C:) are 100% Free Space. Even Volume (E:) which lists 11.28GB says it is also 100% Free Space??? It all must be true because I have tried factory reset several times and absolutely nothing... I have searched a lot for someone who has just the factory recovery disks, and nothing... perhaps they don't even exist.. Suggestions?

Acer Aspire E5: Why won't my laptop turn on or charge after a RAM upgrade?

Hello,

I own a E5-571G-750T. Recently, I purchased 2 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz from Crucial, opened up my laptop and replaced the existing 4GB RAM with them.

My laptop was turning on fine until moments ago when I tried if I could play DotA2 on high settings. Suddenly, there was a small pop sound and my laptop died. I tried re-booting but to no avail. Even when plugged in, there’s no light indicating it’s charging.

Desperate, I opened it up, removed the RAM sticks, then put them back. I also tried tightening some components. Didn’t work.

Also tried a Youtube tutorial where I had to press the power button for a full minute, but it didn’t work either.

The only thing I haven’t tried is switching back to the 4GB RAM or interchanging the 8GB RAM in the slots. Is there even a point in trying? Or, could the problem be unrelated to the RAM upgrade?

Acer Aspire E5: Acer Aspire E5-551 Screen goes black

Hi laptop trouble.

Aspire E5-551 starts up ok but screen goes black. Touch the keyboard or tracker pad and screen comes on for a second or so then goes back off again. I have it plugged into the mains as I am not sure what the battery is like. Any ideas would be gratefully received.
