Acer Aspire 7741: Is my notebook dead? Black screen with blinking cursor.

I have a Acer Aspire 7741z-4643 notebook. I have a blank screen with a blinking dash. I can do a f2 on it. It will go the Acer logo and than I have a blank screen. How can I fix this. Or is this the end for my laptop. Please help

Acer Aspire 7741: Acer Aspire 7741Z series laptop - Why won't my laptop boot up?

When I tried to shut it down the other night, it kept trying to shut down, but immediately rebooted. I finally got it to shut down. Then yesterday, even though the power light is on, it will not boot up when I try to turn it on.

Acer Aspire 7741: How hard is it to change the keyboard on the 7741z?

My laptop is 6 years old and I need a new keyboard as the keys have worn out, even the nubs on the F and J keys are gone and there's a dent worn into the space bar and we won't even discuss the amount of dirt and junk under and between the keys lol. Has anyone ever changed the keyboard on this laptop? Is it ok to buy a generic keyboard? I'd love a lighted one but can't find one for the 7741z. Any tips and tricks would be helpful. Thanks.

Acer Aspire 7741: My screen is pink.

Good afternoon,

I'm hoping someone can help me.

I have an Acer Aspire 7741z-4433. Took it apart to clean the fan one day, put it back together and the screen has been pink ever since. Any white backgrounds, graphics, etc. are now pink. The screen also looks a pixelated and seems to have a flicker or some type of vibration going on.

I searching for an answer for weeks and haven't come up with a thing. Took the laptop apart about 5-6 times to check all connections, wires, etc. Nothing looks broken, loose or out of place that I can see.

Is there something I'm missing? Any ideas on what it could be? I thought it might be the LCD video cable and replaced it, but it's still the same.

Any help would greatly appreciated.

Acer Aspire 7741: Laptop having trouble turning on

My Acer starts to power up, I hear the fan, it gives me the "Acer Empowering People" screen then goes to a black screen, the fan dies down then it starts all over. It will continue doing this until I power it off or it just drains it's power. From the "Acer Empowering People" screen I can press F2 to get into Set up but I have no idea what to do next, I don't understand anything I see! I'm hoping someone can help me, and explain things very simply!
