Acer Aspire 3 A315-58-350L: Acer Aspire 3 A315-58-350L no power, charging LED does not light up

Acer Aspire 3 A315-58-350L suddenly shut down and refuses to turn back on. The charger is confirmed working and undamaged, no physical damage is visible, and charging indicator LEDs do not light up at all when the charger is plugged in. The lower case was opened and both the battery connector and internal power connections are firmly plugged in. What could be causing this power failure (e.g., power IC, motherboard short circuit), and how can it be further diagnosed?

Acer Aspire E5: Laptop does not open or charging , a chip is blown, what is it?

My Laptop Model:

as seller told me : aspire-e5-473

on other hand "Model no: n15c1 " written in laptop's backside.

So the problem is my brother tried to change the battery. unfortunately he didn't noticed that he is trying to join the connector in reverse. so that it wasn't fitted here . after few moment of trying he saw laptop is smoking 🤦🏻‍♂️ . after opening the laptop, he founds an IC has burned.

it burned so badly so its impossible to see what is the IC number. and also after removing this IC we saw there are some footprints also burned

. but we just figure out that the IC no printed on the board. i need to know the ic number. and also is this possible to bypass the burned footprint.

Thanks in advance <3

Acer Aspire 5100: Laptop not booting after DC socket connector replacement

Hi everyone,

my laptop had some problems with the DC socket connector.

Sometimes it shut off if I moved the power cable. The DC was replaced before and I think they have put a bad DC socket connector as it was really loose when connecting the cable.

As this follows I have replaced it again with the original DC socket connector and now the computer boots and shuts off after a few seconds.

I have also changed the heat paste but nothing changed.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Acer Aspire: Acer aspire 5542 power on, fan spinning but no display

Hi,

I have an acer aspire 5542 laptop that turns on, the fan spins but I have no display. I'm pretty sure the issue is with the motherboard or the gpu on the board, but don't know how to test it.

First, I'm wondering if a dead gpu can be hot? Can he produce some heat?

I don't want to buy another board, this is a old laptop and I just want to learn and try to fix it by myself. However, I don't know where to begin with.

I was thinking about testing voltage on the display connector to know if atleast the current goes there, but as I said I'm not sure and this is my first time so I don't have any kind of experience and for the moment I'm just trying to figure out where to begin with.
