I’ve had this 2-in-1 PC for almost two years and never had something like this happened to me. When I tried to plug in my AC adapter, I knew something was off. The LED indicator initially had an orange light but when I tried turning the ZenBook on, it changed to a light blue, something really uncommon since I knew my ZenBook wasn’t at full battery. The screen was left black and I’ve tried turning it on normally and using the Windows&Power Key method I saw on another forum. Turning up brightness didn’t do anything so now I realize that something was going on. Removing the adapter only turned off the LED indicator, which meant to me that my laptop was never on to begin with. There is also nothing coming from the indicator near the instant ID pad.

I’m trying to figure out what to do before I reach out to the company that I have warranty with to repair this issue. I’m just trying to see what happened and what I can do to prevent it from happening again in the future. Any and all insight would be helpful.

Hi all,

I have come across and issue I don’t seem to be able to figure out.

My laptop refuses to start, when the power button is pressed absolutely nothing happens. The issue appeared after I closed the lid to put it to sleep, when I tried to wake it.

The laptop has had it motherboard change under warranty twice but the the issue was caused by i the laptop would at least had LED flashing, which is not the case at the moment.

So far, I have tried:

-Battery disconnect and reconnect;

-Battery disconnected, power supply plugged in;

-Battery disconnected and power switch held for 30s+, then power supply plugged;

-New power supply.

None of the above has worked so far.

If anyone has an idea that could save this laptop, I am all ears.

@aactech: that has been done with no success. No light at all and the fan doesn’t kick in.

@jayeff: -I have tried holding the power button with power connected for 10s+ a few time already and that doesn’t solve it.

-The battery was charged, not sure if it was charging though. As you mentionned the USB-C seems to be the weak point as on every laptop relying just on this. Unfortunately I don’t have a multimeter available at the moment, but I managed to find a spare battery that I should get this week end which will hopefully narrow the issue to a few possiblity, ie old battery dead and/or no charge going through the USB-C?

So a quick update, I got a second battery and a voltmetre.

Both battery are at 7.6V for a 7.7B battery, so that’s pretty good.

I have checked continuity from the usb-c to the battery plug on the motherboard: there is continuity on the ground but nothing on the voltage ones.

When the power supply is pluged on the motherboard, there is 0.83V at the battery plug terminals

ASUS Zenbook Flip S UX370UA: I accidentally spilt quite a bit of coffee (with milk) in my keyboard.

I spilt coffee with milk on my keyboard. I turned it and a big amout of the liquid came down. I disconected from the power and kept it turned off. What sould I do?

ASUS Zenbook Flip S UX370UA: Bluetooth card not recognized Flip S/Q325U

Sudden onset of bluetooth card not recognized in Asus Q325UA. Device manager shows bluetooth hidden, intel driver fails to enable due to no bluetooth installed. Any other checks I can do? Is the bluetooth module replaceable?

ASUS Zenbook Flip S UX370UA: The Laptop Is not turning on after opening it and repasting it

I was opening it right, It's battery was not unplugged because there was a stripped screw, I tried my best but nothing, so I half unplugged the battery, I basically had the computer on idk if that messed with anything but I used a paper towel soaked in isopropyl to clean off the thermal paste and idk but I was sweating a bit so idk if that did anything, but after all that I repasted and closed it up and when I turn it on nothing, then I unplug and replug the battery and when I plug in the charger, there's an orange light, so i try to turn it on, a white light appears, but nothing its just a black screen and no fan spin and the CPU isn't even warming up, so I try again and again open and close to no avail, so please can someone help me because this is my only good laptop that I have
