I just recently bought a zenpad without any firmware and I'm really not sure how to get the firmware to download. I tried to get the firmware from the official ASUS site but it still wouldn't work.

Any ideas how to fix this?

ASUS ZenPad S 8.0: Touch Screen no longer responding

I swapped the battery and that worked fine.

The screen appears fine but now the touch screen isn’t responding any more.

I’ve reseated the cables (I removed to install the new battery) numerous times to no avail. Finally I gave up & tried the “Factory Reset” still no response.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

When my Asus Zenpad S 8.0 Z580C is in portrait mode the section of my screen where my home and back buttons are does not respond to touch. The same is true no matter how i orient the tablet, that small portion of the screen doesn't work. It displays fine, but it's like the touch sensor broke. Does anyone know who I might fix this with out sending it to Asus and spend $230 to repair a tablet i can get for $125 retail.

I dropped my tablet today on the carpet. I have dropped my tablet before and similar things have happened but when i picked it up it would not turn back on, it would only glow when I attempted and when I turned it off it would stop. Please help I'm really confused and not sure what I need to do.

My Asus Zenpad would only be charged when it is on. I have used the factory cable and charger (adapter) and also used others. the result is the same. It would charge when the tablet is on; it would not charge if the tablet is off.

One year old ZenPad S 8.0 tablet. Internal Mic worked perfectly until last week. Mic port is clean. I have tried everything suggested via Google search. Voice to text will not work on docs, search, emails or any other function. Any help would be appreciated. Todd

Dear Community,

I recently purchased an android zenpad tablet. I think it's the 7' version. It runs on android 5.0.2. It doesn't have any updates anymore, and i'm not sure if any will be supported in the near future.

I'm not sure what is causing my issue to occur, but I think it's a setting that needs to be changed or disabled. Although I can't seem to find it myself.

Basically every 30 minutes my tablet won't connect to the internet anymore. I have to disable my WiFi and re-enable it for it to working again. And the cycle continues on.

I've looked in the power saving option of Asus, but nothing it causing it there. Also in the advanced settings on WiFi I have disabled the sleep during standby (keep your wifi profile) not changes there either. I also tried to put it on AirPlane mode, but no luck either. I've tried to look at other settings but I can't seem to find anything related. Wifi manager, wifi fix and other apps don't help either.

Does anyone know a solution or something worth trying xD ? I'm getting a bit desperate cause it's getting on your nerves. Putting my wifi on static is impossible cause I can't acces the router and the network manager won't allow any changes to be made. But I don't think that's causing the issue, because if im at other places it also does the same thing!
