ASUS ZenPad 3S 10: Is it possible to replace the touch screen only?

I have a cracked touch screen on my Asus Zenpad 3S 10 Z500M but the display is not affected. I only see the whole assembly for sale online so I'm presuming this tablet is one that requires the whole assembly (expensive) to be replaced. Is it possible to replace the screen alone?

ASUS ZenPad 3S 10: SD slot won’t open

Hello, I just got this tablet on May 18th. Has no damage whatsoever. I just received my Micro sd card in the mail and was going to insert it into my device.Problem is that the key that came with the tablet does not open or eject the slot. I tried a little bit of pressure and have increased it but it has yet to open. I’ve followed the instructions it came with and even ones I found on the Verizon website but even still I cannot manage to pop it out. Could someone help me please? I’m not sure what to do

ASUS ZenPad 3S 10: Tablet won't turn on after battery unplugging

My tablet only had a broken screen, so I just replaced it with a new one, when I turned it off I didn't wait until completely off before connecting new screen and tablet started to behave in a weird way: stripes, buzz etc, so I connected back old screen and then the new one but the screen stayed black but illuminated, nothing worked to turn it on or off so I unplugged the battery and now its completely dead, black screen, no response…

Help! Now I'm trying to charge it (nothing happens, just some heating in motherboard area)

Is it fixable? Did I burned the motherboard or something?

Do anyone have similar experiences with diy repairs?

Thank you

I will update if anything happens

ASUS ZenPad 3S 10: Why won't my LCD turn on?

I replaced my LCD and digitizer with a set from eBay.

When turned on, the buttons at the bottom will light up, but nothing will appear on the screen. When plugged into a computer, the computer will recognize it with its customary BING, so I know something's happening in there. I can't connect it to the computer because I can't get past the screen lock since I can't see it to unlock, but I know it's on because the computer finds it.

Just, no LCD.

Defective LCD? Or maybe I did something wrong with I installed? I've reseated all the flex cables several times, even took it all apart and put it back together to see if I missed anything, and I get the same results.

Thanks!

ASUS ZenPad 3S 10: Screen doesn't respond to touch

Hi there,

The touch screen was working as normal when I started using the tablet. Some minutes after I found out by chance that part of the screen was cracked.

A bit after, the upper half of the touch screen stopped working. I restarted the device and the upper half continued bot working so I restarted it again and the whole touch screen stopped responding.

So, after many restarts, the display works, and I can see the lock screen but it doesn't respond to touch. The volume up/down and the home button still work.

Thanks a lot for any help (and sorry for such a long description).

ASUS ZenPad 3S 10: Bricked device, new logic board

Hello everyone!

A few months ago I bricked my Asus Z500M (non-LTE version) and now I'm not even able to connect it to my pc (stuck on boot logo and no download or recovery mode) and flash the raw software through the Asus Flash Tool.

I was wondering which one could be the best option:

1)Replace the logic board (100€), the biggest concern here is that I don't know if I will be able to use this tablet even with a different serial number/IMEI.

2)"Repair" the eMMC by reprogramming it (I have no idea of how it can be done or which tools are needed)

ASUS ZenPad 3S 10: Where to get the USB-C Board or the conector to fix a ASUS Zenpad 3S

I opened up my ASUS Zenpad 3S because the USB connector is broken. It looks like the USB-pins are shoved to the back side of the plug, hence charing is impossible. So I would like to repair the connector, either by replacing the whole PCB where the USB-C female connector is sitting on, or by replacing the connector.

Does anyone have an idea where I could find the board, or how I could find out which special type of USB-C connector I need and where I can get it??

Any help is highly appreciated!

Cheers!
