ASUS X550LB-DS71: laptop turns off when charger is unplugged

hello community

i have an Asus vivobook X542UN

i took it to a repair shop to upgrade my ssd (so this happened after it was opened) and now the laptol only runs on the charger and turns off immediately if i unplug it

the battery is almost new and it ran like a charme before it was opened

the repair shop wouldn't take responsibility for what happened so im trying to fix this myself now, what might be the problem and how do i fix it ?

thank you

ASUS X550LB-DS71: CPU cooler not working/detecting?

My laptop's CPU is overheating and throttling with the slightest load, firefox or even chrome with a couple of tabs opened, utilization is as shown in the picture.

I disassembled the laptop, cleaned out the fan properly, tested thermals again, with the same load, temps lowered about a 5 to 6 degrees on average, but the pc is still running ridiculously hot.

My question is this, is there some software to control my fan speeds or do i need to replace the fan ? (mind you that through aida64 and speedfan I did not get any info regarding the fan's RPM)

ASUS X550LB-DS71: I spilt water over my laptop's keyboard

Hi! I spilt a small amount of water over my keyboard, wipe it off then let it dry for 1 day. The thing is, as i opened it today some keys are working properly, but when i press “h” “m” “n” it automatically writes “mnh”, when i press “e” it writes an “e” and if i press it again it works like “enter”. The delete button isn’t working at all, “x” and “z” write “xz” (each one). By the way, the water was spilt only in the “n”-”enter” zone so I don't know how it got to “z” and “x”. The enter button in the right corner down works just as “e” does. What should i do? Should i replace its keyboard? Will it change something?

ASUS X550LB-DS71: Power button switchboard issue

Hey Folks,

I have an issue with my Asus F550J Laptop, my power button switch board is damaged and I am about to change it. Unfortunately I couldn't find the exact part, but I have found an X550CL component but I am not convinced if it will do it instead of the X550JX (this is the model number of the switch board itself for the F550J PC).

Does anyone have relevant experience in this domain? I don't want to buy it if it's not gonna be compatible with my laptop.

Pls help a desperate girl, thankies in advance. ^.^
