ASUS TUF Dash F15: Display won't turn on, battery indicator flashes white.

Context:
I left my laptop on overnight, and it shut itself down from low battery by the time I woke up. Perfectly normal, I've done that multiple times. Laptop worked perfectly fine before this problem occured.
-------------------------
To my dismay, when I plugged the charger in and turned the laptop back on, I was greeted with a black screen, followed by the battery indicator light blinking white 3 times, in approx 5second intervals.
I thought it had been the battery not charging, but when I turned the laptop off, the battery indicator glowed orange, indicating that it was in fact charging like normal.

I've disconnected the battery by opening the laptop up, held the power button for 30 seconds, thinking the problem was static in the components, but that too did nothing.
I did notice a bit later however, that all the fans and internal components sounded like they were running.
Finally, I tried hooking the laptop up to an external display. As I suspected, it worked.
No signs of the original laptop display being detected, though. I was wondering if I could get the original laptop display working again.

I'd appreciate if anybody could diagnose the problem, and help me with a fix, if any. Cheers!

ASUS TUF Dash F15: What options do I have when power button does not work?

My laptop does not power on with the power button anymore, the only option I know I can do is unplug battery, replug battery and then power the device, this will automatically power the device.

There does not seem to be an option in the BIOS that powers the device when plugged in by default.

I have tried to clean and reseat the power button, it requires to remove basically everything from the laptop. This unfortunately did not work.

What are other options I have to repair the power button or alternative to powering the laptop?

I have bough a asus laptop at first my power button had problems and I went to a repair shop they fixed it and it stopped working , and some master offered me to instead of using the flex cable from power button to directly wire it , no whenever I turn on my laptop my indicator shows it’s turned on white power is blinking and then it shows that the computer is off and it blinks Orange on the power indicator usually shows low battery even with AC plugged in (he wired 4 pin connection straight to motherboard )

ASUS TUF Dash F15: Laptop won't power on or any display light after EDP cable disconected

The screen on my laptop suddenly failed but I got a display out using another screen through HDMI. I figured I should check the EDP cable.

I opened the laptop screen first and checked the cable on the screen side (actually made a mistake and looked at the wifi chip antenna first). It looked fine but still I very carefully used tweazers to disconect and reseat it.

After this I then openned the main chassis and disconected the 40 pin EDP cable. I cliked the power on button but very quickly realized I had left the EDP cable disconected so I pressed ot again to force a shutdown. I then reconectected the EDP cable (no damaged pins, I triple checked). This time when pressing the power button there was no sign of life.

I reopened everyting and took out the battery, did the 60 second hard reboot, put the battery and power cord back on but nothing. The computer shows no indication of even being powered.

What else should I check or do?

Thank you very much for any help

ASUS TUF Dash F15: Cracked screen - difficulty level to change it myself

Hello,

I recently had a very noticeable crack on my ASUS TUF Dash F15 screen due to an object that fell on the back of the computer and dented the back. I have never disassembled a computer or changed a screen and I wanted to know if the operation was very complicated or not on this model ? I would like to save myself $200/300$ in bills to have it repaired by someone else.

How do I find a reliable site in Canada to order a new screen ? Do you know what the average prices are for the screen of this model ? Do you have any recommendations for screen models ?

I put all my savings into this computer and I am stressed about finding it in a bad condition/tampered with/stolen/lost if I give it to a repair store. I am afraid that they will break my computer even though it has been working perfectly for 2 years and only the screen is damaged...

Thanks in advance for your help!

(If you ever have any YouTube tutorials for changing the screen of this model step by step, I'm interested, I haven't found much for the moment.)

ASUS TUF Dash F15: Laptop screen gets a black screen/horizontal lines at 144hz mode

My ASUS TUF F15 FX516PC is having annoying display issues where sometimes it boots with static horizontal lines or a full black screen with a tiny line that shows my desktop with the static horizontal lines.

It seems to be only a integrated display issue though, if I plug an external screen using HDMI or USB-C the screen starts working fine again, or if I switch the refresh rate from 144hz to 60hz. Could this be a software issue or something wrong with the display cable and/or screen?

Asus TUF Dash F15: Why can't my laptop stay on more than 20 seconds?

Hi,

My ASUS TUF Dash F15 has suddenly stopped working. It was manufactured in January 2021 and I owned it ever since. It crashed twice (instant black screen) and now it won't turn on correctly.

On battery, it doesn't turn on at all, no lights nor sounds come on.

On power, the orange led for battery charging turns on. It turns on with all lights on, screen working and booting. But after 20 seconds or so it all shuts down again, all lights out, including the battery charging orange led.

I can quickly glance at the BIOS before it shuts down, it says the fans are not turning. The CPU heat slowly goes up, I think it shuts down around 50 degrees celsius? The battery seems to be charging, last I checked it was at 83% and I see no bulging (I unplugged it still to be safe). Tried different power adaptors and sockets, same result.

I'm assuming there's a problem with the power or the fans (or both)?

A few warning signs that may be related that happened before this breakdown:

The day before this happened I was getting pop-ups saying the UI was switching between different modes (eco, turbo, normal...). Never saw that before, it was odd and annoying, I made it stop by changing the power setting manually.

I've had USB and internet connectivity issues with it recently, but less likely to be related (who knows though).

My partner said the fans were sometimes running very loudly when my lid was shut down/computer supposedly sleeping. And that they were not always running when I was playing games and such (or at least he couldn't hear them).

What would be my best course of action? Asus repair service is awful, and my partner and I never repaired a laptop before, only desktop computers. I didn't see any guide on the website for this laptop model; and even so, how do I diagnose the exact source of the issue?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Attached are photo of the inside and video when the laptop shuts down with BIOS open.

ASUS TUF Dash F15: Shows it’s charging but not turning on

I closed my laptop before heading to bed without shutting it down, I usually shut it down but I guess I wasn’t thinking. Came to try getting back on it and it shows it’s charging but won’t turn on. The keyboard won’t light up like it usually does and the screen stays black. The laptop itself was a bit warm too when it was left there for hours without being used. I don’t know what to do
