My charger wire seems to have gotten weaker to the point it only works when i bend it side to side. And the power gets on and off when it’s bend. Each time i charged it has gotten worse and now it almost doesn’t work. Should i buy a new one? or can i fix it on my own?

Do I need to open the entire laptop to get to the hinges to replace them? When I open or close my laptop the hinges aren't moving which causes the screen to split open.
