ASUS F550: Asus F555UA XX129T Keyboard Issues Windows 10 Pro

Hi Guys, this has probably been asked before, but I have an issue with my laptop keyboard keys. My Model is the Asus F555UA I5 laptop.

When ever I enter the key D it either enters to the next line or gives a space and then enters the d. Also when I want to backspace it skips the last key entered and deletes the rest when I keep backspace in. When I tap backspace it skips a letter every time and deletes the letter infront of the last one.

My last issue is, when I press enter on the normal keyboard it highlights the complete row and then enters. I have to use the Numpad enter to enter to the next row normally.

I would really appreciate it if someone can assist me or maybe give me some advice.

I am running windows 10 pro 64bit.

ASUS F550: Asus F550J Freezing on Boot

Hi all,

I'm experiencing a rather strange issue with this laptop. It always freezes immediately after I turn it on.

This seems to happen even without hard drives (or any kind of storage mediums connected. I can sometimes get into BIOS setup, and looking at how it displays the current time, the seconds stop incrementing after a about 10-60 seconds.

Running it only on AC or battery seems to not influence the issue at all.

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks!

ASUS F550: Water damage - no 3.3V anywhere

Hello guys! I will come straight to the point and paste this album of photos. https://imgur.com/a/JJqOcaQ

This is a mainboard from Asus X55VD Rev 2.1. It suffered water damage and I think the power controller? RT8206L might be faulty. Also the components around it, but I dont know if this is the case. Also the bios chip (i think it is the MX25L6445E) near that ITE IT8517E does not have the 3V.

The 19V i can find on some spots, especially near the power connector, along the bottom to the right. See first picture for that. I cant find any voltage anywere else.

The power button of the notebook seems to work since my DMM beeps when I press the button with the probes on its pins. Not even there are 3V. How exactly should I proceed with my search?

ASUS F550: Windows 8.1 Network Connection shows nothing available

I am at home on my internet, but when I go to my networks it says “no connections available,” even though I obviously have connections available. When I try to get on a network somewhere else I cannot get on and it shows still “no connections available” so I cannot use my laptop anywhere but at home. This happens even with my phone hotspot.

ASUS F550: What is my laptop's power problem?

I plugged my power adapter to charge the laptop. The red led came up indicating charging. I expected it to turn green after four hours indicating fully charged but it won't, so I put on the system to checked the charged percentage. To my surprise, THE GREEN LED FOR POWER ON AND NUMBER LOCK CAME UP, THE COOLING FAN START WORKING BUT THE SCREEN DIDN'T DISPLAY.

I detach the power adapter from the laptop and immediately the system went off SIGNIFYING THAT THE BATTERY ISN'T CHARGED AT ALL.

I tried putting the system on without plugging the adapter but it won't come up. I plugged the adapter and put on the system, it was on but no display. The charging led was on as well. I removed the battery without unplugging the adapter. The system remained on but the charge led went off. I reinserted the battery, the charging led came up again. I left the system like that, on but no display, for another two hours after which I removed the adapter and immediately the system went off.

ANY HELP PLEASE?

ASUS F550: Why is no sound working on my laptop?

It used to work a few days ago until I found out my microphone was not working, so I used an app to update all drivers. Suddenly, my sound and microphone doesn't work, however the driver is installed. I messed around with it but no solution. My only solution is to use the headphone jack my my second monitor (yes with a laptop xD) but it gives a really annoying static noise. I also tried headphone plugging into the laptop headphone jack but it still doesn't work, it only works if I plug it into my second monitor. I tried re installing my sound drivers but no luck, tried updating, no luck. If I reset my PC, will all my drivers be automatically installed, and would my sound and microphone work if I did this?
