Now I will show you how to replace the keyboard of a Dell Inspiron laptop.

You have to prepare some equipment including a flathead screwdriver and a new keyboard.

Remember to remove all the peripherals like the AC adapter and battery from the laptop. Don't use a razor blade because it might leave some scratches on your laptop.

There are 8 steps in total:

First, slide two battery-release latches into the unlocked position.
Next, remove the battery from the battery base.
Then, turn over the laptop and open it.
After that, use a small flathead screwdriver to pry away 5 keyboard latches.
Next, you should carefully lift the keyboard.
Then, disconnect the keyboard cable.
After that, remove the old keyboard.
Finally, reverse the above steps to install the new keyboard.
