Honda General Purpose Engine GX200UT2: Dies two minutes into the job

I have replaced the fuel, the carburetor, checked the spark plugs, used starting fluid, cleaned the filter, checked the cap to the gas can.

It will run about two minutes and then die. It has gas flow and I have added a new fuel filter too.

Pull cord will not pull. Flywheel works perfectly, when i pull the cord, and then align it back , it does not retract. The flywheel rotor has limited movement

Simplicty consumer zero turn with 20hp Vangaurd. I replaced engine with identical engine from parts machine. starter has always clicked at the starter several times before cranking and starting. so I replaced starter with one from the blown engine. It does the same thing except now it is the solenoid that is clicking.

I have an atv and I just put a new pull start recoil on it and when I pull start the atv it is a short pull string and it is trying to start but not very long is it because the pull string is too short do I need a new pull string

When I pull start my atv it makes a puffing noise then stops but the puffing noise is very quick can anyone tell me what is wrong let me know if you want a video of it doing the noise I can get you one.

Ok. I have a 5hp Briggs & Stratton on my MTD rototiller. I've changed the carb gasket, see picture. I've cleaned out the passages. I've used sea foam in the fuel, it's got fairly new gas. I cleaned and checked the gap in the spark plug and it's good. I can still see through the air filter.

But I can start it and it'll run for a few minutes then die. After the sea foam trick if I babied it I was able to do a little bit of rototilling, but then it died and wouldn't restart no matter where I positioned the choke lever.

What else could it be?

Hi. I have a John Deere zero turn mower. It runs great and cuts just fine. However, I just installed the power flow bagging system and now the mower stalls when I attempt to engage the blades. Initially, when I first installed the power flow unit, which is belt driven, it worked but the mower struggled to get the power flow going but it eventually did. Now, just a few days later, the mower can’t get the power flow going. It doesn’t sound like a safety switch issue as the engine doesn’t just cut off, rather, it struggles and it sounds like it wants to go but the engine stalls … any help would be much appreciated!

4-Stroke Small Gas Engine: Why does my lawnmower start and die even with a new carburetor?

We have a Yard Machine push lawnmower with a 09p702-0004-F1 Briggs and Straton engine on it. We got the lawn mowed once this spring with it, but since then it has refused to run. It turns over, starts up and then dies.

After researching on the internet, we cleaned the carb with some carb cleaner. If you spray carb cleaner in it started and ran as you kept on spraying carb cleaner in. We took apart, then reassembled the carb. That didn’t help. We checked the fuel line - fuel flows freely out of it. Drained all of the fuel out, put in new fuel. Nope. Tried it with the gas tank cap off. Nada. Constantly pumping the primer once it starts doesn’t seem to help at all. Cleaned the spark plug.

We then ordered a replacement carburetor. Installed that today - still no go. It continues to turn over, start and then die immediate.

Where to go from here? The lawn grows longer by the day - we resorted to using the string trimmer on it last week . . .

Briggs and Stratton 280000 series single cylinder engine is continuously flooding and needs the fuel bowl inlet “Needle and Seat” valve either replaced or adjusted. I have dismantled the unit but the Seat seems to be pressed in to the carburetor body. The design of the float seems to prevent any for of adjustment of the fuel level in the bowl.’

I accidentally ran over a chunk of wood and the mower shut down so I figured I sheared the flywheel key and replaced it and the spark plug with no luck I also sprayed starting fluid into the air filter after taking the filter out and nothing happened it just cranks over very fast but won’t start PLEASE HELP !!
