I heard a squealing sound in my rear back of my car a month ago. I immediately took it to a dealer and found that my rear passenger side brake shoes need to be replaced. They gave me a higher quote so I took it to a nearby mechanic store and they did a diagnostic brake check for $35 and found that my rear brake drum needs to be replaced and adjusted and they took $240. Last week I found it hard to accelerate after braking at a traffic signal. I pushed the accelerator smoothly and heard a squishing noise. Why is this happening and why is it hard or hesitant to accelerate few times after releasing the foot from the brake?

Previously I had a master cylinder replaced as advised. I also had self-brake adjuster replaced another time while I was on a road trip. Infact, before I went for a road trip I got my car serviced and got it checked before I set off. I am vexed with this brake problem and service as its just costing money. Can anyone tell why is it hard to accelerate now or hesitant to accelerate after applying brakes?

2013-Present Nissan Sentra: Why do RPM/engine surge when over 80mph?

I have a 2016 Nissan Sentra. It only has 65k miles on it. When I hit 80 mph, the rpm needle starts jumping up and down by 20 rpms back and forth, as the engine revs. The car when physically lurches a bit.

Also, maybe unrelated, the AC is only cold when I'm driving at least 60. The AC also “revs” and blows sporadically at different speeds on its own.

Please give me possible causes. If like to have some insight before I go to the autoshop and get lied to left and right.

Rpm’s fluctuate at idle, car shakes, and shuts off. Goes into limp mode, and is hesitant to accelerate, Check engine light has been on throwing a code for a mass airflow sensor, I have replaced the MAF and that is NOT the issue.

i have sentra 2014 1.6cc engine, the issue is that it has high rpm at the highway around 3100rpm at speed of 70 miles !!!

some time it go down to 2500rpm at the same speed !!

Note

its not fluctuate in rpm it just remains on rpm rating mintion above and I don’t know the reason!

did any one has the same issue ?

I've had the car for about a year now and whenever it's slightly warm outside my a/c will fluctuate between blowing hot air to blowing slightly less hot air but never actually cool or cold air. I thought it needed to be recharged but when I hooked up the gauges and can of refrigerant to it the gauge said it was already fully charged. Any advice is greatly appreciated because it's already starting to warm up in California again and I'm not sure my wife or I can survive another summer of the devil blowing air in our faces while we drive around. Thanks in advance.

Please excuse if I don't use the correct terms I'm definitely not a mechanic I just have fixed my cars as they break, but here it goes. I need to replace the starter in my car and the videos I'm watching on YouTube go from an untouched engine to everything already taken apart and then removing the starter without fully explaining what all I need to disconnect. I'm also curious if I disconnect the radiator hoses do I need to drain my radiator first? If so does that mean that I will need to bleed the air out of the radiator after I refill it? Also is it easier to handle this job underneath my car or above the engine? Because of course it's raining for the first time in a year in California so I'm not too excited about crawling underneath a wet car but if that's going to be the easiest way I don't mind

My car is not shifting into gear... the gear shift itself moves freely except when trying to put it back into park there is some tension there... other than that the car starts and basically runs but wont move nowhere thanks to the gearshift... help pls?
