2008-2013 Subaru Forester: White smoke coming from under the hood, but disappears and runs fine.

My subaru will have white smoke coming out from under the hood and smells like burning oil or rubber, but eventually the smell will go away and the smoke will go away. The car runs perfectly fine. I have looked under the hood when it had some smoke coming out and it seems like its coming more from the bottom of the car. Any ideas?

2008-2013 Subaru Forester: Can I just glue my side view mirror back down?

Totally my fault, my side view mirror, driver side, was pushed up, and broke the connection to the base. The mechanics of the mirror still work, but the mirror, obviously, is loose.

I can see where the round base was snapped off.

Can I find some thick, heavy glue and just reglue the mirror down? I understand that it may no longer flip back, but that only happens at some car washes.

A new mirror is going to probably run me $700....

Any advice?

GPS Screen is difficult to see in bright sunlight. At night or evening, there is no problem. Adjusting Brightness feature does not adjust enough to compensate for bright sunlight.
