2008-2012 Ford Escape: 2009 Ford Escape windshield washer not spraying?

My 2009 Ford Escape windshield washer front and back stopped working at the same time a few months ago. I haven't had a chance to look at it until last night. The reservoir is filled to the max line. There hasn't been any leakage. I tested the pumps by having the hood open, windows down, and ran the motors. I know they work because they are on the same circuit as the wipers. The wipers work, but no fluid in front or back come out? Would this be a clogged pump, reservoir dirty, or clogged lines? Thanks.

2008-2012 Ford Escape: My engine shuts off sometimes when I’m slowing down.

I have a 2010 Ford Escape XLT. In the next couple of days after I put gas in my tank, my engine will shut off as I’m slowing down. As I apply the breaks (sometimes not always) my battery light will turn on followed by the oil light, then the engine will shut off entirely. When I turn the car off then on again it will start up like normal. My mechanic has had my car for days and can’t get it to shut down as I experience it to. The alternator is brand new so thats not an issue, I’m frustrated because we can’t quite figure out what is wrong. Has anybody else experienced this?

2008-2012 Ford Escape: Wierd smell coming from heater

No matter the air temperature or fan speed, there's some bad smell coming from the vents whenever I have my heater on. It kind of smells like burning plastic, but not that bad, and I haven't seen any indication of melting or burning anywhere else, but I haven't looked deep and thoroughly yet. I'm guessing it's just the air filter that needs replacing, but might it be the heating element or something?

2008-2012 Ford Escape: How do I remove the negative terminal nut/adapter?

I recently started having issues with the battery on my Ford Escape. I could see corrosion on the negative terminal, so I took it to a local auto parts store to test the battery. Everything was “good,” so I picked up a battery cleaning kit and went home to attempt to clean it.

I was able to clean the surface corrosion, but I hit a snag removing the terminal. There is a small nut that is easy enough to remove, but there is a two-piece chunk of metal that appears to be fused together by corrosion. Does anyone have any tips on how they were able to get that off of the terminal? I’m trying to avoid taking this to a mechanic to be charged to clear corrosion.

2008-2012 Ford Escape: 2008 ford Escape will not start sometimes

I took my 2008 ford escape to he dealer cause the shifter was not going into gear. It took them a week to get to my car and they replaced the shifter cable bushing. When I picked up the car it started ok. When I got home and started the car it did nothing. I noticed on the web that it could be the starter module. To test they mentioned to push in the key when starting the engine. I replaced the starter module with a OEM part and still the same problem. If I push in the key when starting it will most of the time start. This all started after getting the shifter cable bushing replaced. What would have that replaced caused this starter problem?
