2006-2010 Ford Explorer: bank one error code p0171

my 2006 explorer has the service light on and using a diagnostic computer I see error P0171. Cleaned the MAF and filters, don’t see any crack or leaks from the intake manifold. Could it be the plug wires?, oxygen sensors?

Most information on these trucks lead to another engine configuration from the one I have (4.0 SOHC).

2006-2010 Ford Explorer: Why is my car hard idleing and not accelerating?

I have 2008 Ford Explorer 4.0L engine and over 130,000 miles. My car is shaking and won’t accelerate when I push the gas peddle. I’ve replaced throttle body unit, replaced engine control computer (programmed it also), and changed the spark plugs but the car is still doing the same thing. My mechanic had put the scanner on it and he can’t figure it out either.

2006-2010 Ford Explorer: Why rpm jumps during accelaretion between 25mph to 60mph

Hello friends

I have explorer 2009

During idle the rpm is constant

During accelaretion from 0mph to 25mph the engine is smooth

During acceleration from 25mph to 60mph, when I'm in 1500-1400 rpm, it jumps to 1800rpm with rrrrr noise and go down back to 1500rpm.

Its happened several times until I reach 60mph, and then the car drives smoothly.

If I will accelarete with higher rpm, 2000rpm or more, the rpm jumping doesn't accure

What is the cause?

Please help

2006-2010 Ford Explorer: Consuming too much gasoline

Hi, I have a Ford Explorer 2006 Eddie Bauer Edition which currently consumes between 20 and 21 L/100Km, which is too much, i checked with forscan and it says the combustion is too lean or something like that, i checked and it says that i need to clean the MFA, done, check if there is a broken pipe, done, there was nothing, i dont really know what else to do.

===PCM DTC P0171-FF===

Code: P0171 - System Too Lean Bank 1

Module: Powertrain Control Module

Diagnostic Trouble Code details

System Too Lean Bank 1

The PCM monitors the adaptive fuel table to ensure fuel control system components do not vary from their nominal values. The fuel control strategy within the PCM uses the adaptive fuel table to compensate for normal wear or aging of fuel control system components. The code is set when the PCM can no longer compensate for additional changes in the fuel system.

2006-2010 Ford Explorer: 2009 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT air flow stuck on front vents

We just purchased a 2009 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT pickup for our teen son yesterday. On our way home, We had the AC going and it works perfectly. But as it got humid outside, the windshield fogged up and didn’t have any wiper fluid in it. But when I tured the air flow selector knob to the defrost setting, the ac kept coming out of the front air vents. barely anything out of the defrost vents. So I changed it to straight floor vents, and nothing came out of the floor vents…still only through the front vents. Any ideas on the issue? Want my teenager to be able to defrost his windshield when needed driving and be safe.

2006-2010 Ford Explorer: RPM fluctuating while driving

Hi, I currently have a 2006 Ford Explorer 4x4 SUV. While I am driving the RPM will fluctuate and the truck will do a weird shimmy. It happens between around 40mph-58ish mph and again between 65-80 mph. I do have a check engine light on. Last time I got it read it was for gas cap and EGR valve. I am getting the EGR fixed but when reading symptoms of a bad EGR, it doesn't match the trucks actions.

What else could it be?

Would completely replacing the EGR fix this issue?

PLEASE tell me it is not the transmission. AHHHH
