I have 2004 Lexus Rx 330 when I am driving over 40 miles an hour then apply the brakes my car shakes I know its not the breaks they have recently been changed

Hi, my 04 RX330 only blows air from the front vent. So it seems as though the heat and cold air are working as it is supposed to but when I try to switch the direction of the air flow it doesn’t switch. There is no AC/Heat by the feet or defrost. I’m in desperate need of the defroster working. Please Help and thank you in advance.
