When I start my car and start driving it. You can smell gas really bad and it chugs (jerks) while you driving.

2003 Nissan Altima, 3.5, 110,000 miles.

Went to change the spark plugs after obd2 read a misfire in cylinder six, when i removed the ignition coil it was soaked in oil, as well as the spark plug when i removed it.I Wiped out most the oil and finished replacing the plugs. After starting it the first time white smoke was pouring out the exhaust for a min or so and stopped,and the car drove fine.

However today i started it up and it was misfiring again, worse than before and this time the check engine light kept flashing all the way home, p0306, cylinder six misfire. What could be causing oil to get in the spark plug well? Im assuming the oil is causing the misfire.

We just bought a 03 Nissan Altima with 73000 miles on it. It was barely driven by the elderly lady that owned it. We went to start it and it will turn but won't fire. Any ideas? We can't take it to get it scanned since it won't start, and I don't want to pay to get it towed somewhere. HELP!!!

2002-2006 Nissan Altima: Won’t go over 2rpm

My 2006 Nissan Altima won’t accelerate over 2RPM, when it goes above that it starts jerking, almost feels like it’s choking. I just changed the Camshaft Sensor because it wouldn’t accelerate when I pressed the gas pedal at all. It now goes, but only until it reaches about 21/2 Rpms. It has a new MAF sensor and just replaced the throttle body sensor. Please help I don’t know what else it could be. I’ve recently learned about something called fail safe mode? Could that be my problem? If so, how do I fix that??

2002-2006 Nissan Altima: Driver Side low beam light not working - replaced lamp & checked fuse

I have a 2006 Nissan Altima.

The Driver Side headlight went out. High beam works fine but not the low beam.

Initially thought the light was burnt out so I replaced it with a new one… Next I checked the fuse box. I replaced both the 15 and the 10 amp fuses for the H/L Hi/L and and H/L Hi/R. Still nothing.

I’m guessing it at this point it is a wiring issue, however if others have tips on how to troubleshoot and narrow this down quickly, I would be very appreciative! HELP!

I just need to know if I'm able to take out the relay for throttle control motor in the ipdm. . My car goes into limp mode but if I tap on that relay it goes back to normal driving conditions.. i just dont wanna force it out and not be able to put a new one in.. but a new ipdm is out of my budget for the second..any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated

2003 nissan altima. Due to valve cover gasket leak i replaced entire valve cover 2 days ago. Found oil in 1st spark plug well. Cleaned oil out of 1st well.4 new spark plugs, 4boots and 4coils, new air filter and cabin air filter,oil and oil filter replaced. Please note when hooking up pcv valve when i replaved the valve cover the hose attached to pcv valve was brittle and breaking off near clip. it didn't seem like the connection a hose should have. It was a weak connection in my eyes but my boyfriend thought I was being over critical like I'm often known to be like so it wasn't looked into more. After 24 hour wait.day 1 and 2 more power car doing well never better. Not losing oil. Not smoking. Smooth running. More get up and go.This morning went to get gas day 3. Checked oil its low 1.5 quarts slight milky on stick and under oil cap.coolant in overflow reservoir gone. Car running rough and louder. Please anyone suggestions? I maintain my vehicles treat them well. I can't afford much more but for sure can't afford new vehicle.

Hello there and thanks in advance,

Recently my mechanic change the valve cover gasket and he didn’t mention that I need to change the whole valve cover . Thanks to all the online help I decided to do it on my own but I made a big mistake

There was a lot of oil in all the spark plugs well . I cleaned a little bit but then I took the spot plugs out Without realizing that the oil really get into the cylinder .

Can anybody tell me what should I do should I try to take a paper napkin and try to clean the cylinder or what should I do thank you for your help

Without completely taking apart everything usually shown in breakdown videos? If not, then I'll probably just get a handle, Saw off the bits I don't need, and get some strong double sided tape, rubber cement, or strong glue to get by. Thanks in advance for any information.

2002-2006 Nissan Altima: Cranking but won't start

My car started running hot. Heater wouldn'twork either. My boyfriend replaced the water pump and the 2 themostats. He drove it down the road it didn't get hot. He shut it off and went to start it back. Wouldn't start only crank. So he replaced the crank senor wasn't it. Checked the plugs. It's getting fire. The fuel pump is coming on. He also took the air mass senor out still wouldn't start. I took it to mechanic he's had it for a week. He still don't know either. But keeps telling me he'll have it fixed the next day.

Started car, went in reverse and when put car in drive car limped and no acceleration. Car check engine light came on. Car slowly rolled until I parked it again. Rested car for several minutes and started again and was able to accelerate to get home. Check engine light stays on. Could it be bad gas, clogged fuel filter?

I can jump it over on the starter and it will crank but still no start and if I use the key switch it does nothing
